Vence is under-rated when compared to its more illustrious neighbours Tourette’s and St Paul de Vence. But it is just as pretty and more interesting in what it offers. The main church is really interesting with its museum upstairs. Good choice of restaurants but book in advance as they get busy!

Vence is the most fabulous town.
Vence is the most fabulous town. It’s close proximity to Nice and the beach is a great advantage too. It has a brilliant selection of excellent restaurants of high standard. The overall character of the old town is spectacular. I cannot wait to revisit this amazing town.

There are many charming villages within an hour's drive of Nice. We have stayed in half a dozen of them. Vence is unpretentious, full of character and a place to return to. While it attracts tourists, real people live here and the quality of life is exemplary.

Vence very pretty Hill top town , in winter few tourists which is fine , but also many places closed . Restaurants which were open had few patrons ( we were only 2 in one place, Les Agapes which had good food ). 2 days is plenty.
This is an extraordinary place, distinctive, beautiful, with charming hosts. It is in an ideal location in the heart of Vence, within walking distance of most of what you will want to see. The owners are enthusiastic travelers and art collectors themselves and very knowledgeable if you are willing to seek their advice. The area is quiet and delightful. We have traveled extensively in France. This is one of the very best experiences we have had: true hospitality.
I’ve reviewed this hotel three times now and my views don’t change. It’s a lovely family run hotel where you feel at home, it’s clean and comfortable and the staff can’t do enough to oblige. It’s handy for Nice airport and Vence itself is a great town with loads of good restaurants and the surrounding countryside is lovely.
Although this is a very simple apartment it is very comfortable with everything you need for a great break. Very peaceful with a great view, and getting full sun in the morning, with a wonderful view of the mountains. Vence is a few minutes away by car, and has many excellent small restaurants.
We liked everything: the room, the balcony, the small quiet street, the city of Vence and especialy our hosts, Andrew and Lorna. We had a very good time at their place and this will be our headquarter for any trip to southern France.
Thanks guys for the lovely experience.
I booked and right away received information about arriving to the hotel. The free parking was great and my corner room had an amazing view and private balcony. It was quiet, but perfectly located to walk into the old town. A very comfortable stay. Would love to return!
Breathtaking location, beautiful garden, very comfortable bed, great breakfast. Even the soaps are from local Provence perfumeries which was fun. Julien runs the show perfectly and is very hospitable, considerate and communicative
Everything very clean. For south of France a very good parking garage, even for bigger cars. Rooms very nice with comfortable beds and complete Kitchenette. Swimming pool had a nice temperature and was kept clean.
Not far away from old town of Vence where lots of cafes can be found for dinner. Convenient parking. Quite location. Nice and Antibes are easily accessible by car.
Great location and very well appointed. Parking was available for our car on site. Great value for a modern, friendly and charming boutique hotel. Fabulous staff.
such a beautiful maison d’hôtes
In the middle of the village of Vence, the rooms are huge and superb. Both Hosts are delightful and breakfast is so delicious.
Great welcome, room had it's own outdoor space, the pool etc but actually we loved being able to walk into St Paul de Vence in 20 mins without touching a road!
This hotel is perfectly located for access to restaurants, sights, and buses. The breakfast served the best croissants I had in a month in Italy and France.
Lovely little hotel, gorgeous garden, a few minutes from the old twon. We enjoyed it totally, it’s worth a stay. So far one of my best hotel experience.
