We loved Ardersier.
We loved Ardersier. It is so quaint only 5 minutes from the Inverness Airport on the North Sea. The people are delightful. You can go to a Pub and have a delightful dinner in a quiet place without making reservations (at least in May 2023). We would love to base out of here and figure out the bus system to and from Inverness in the future.

It is a very pretty village with a lovely long promenade- type walkway round a bay and fab views. It is very friendly and helpful and only a stone’s throw from Inverness airport.
The Star Inn is a really nice place to eat- their breakfasts and evening meals were really good. Sometimes my daughter and her 18 month old baby were with us and staff were cheerful, helpful and accommodating.

The service we received when we arrived was poor and unwelcome. We were told me couldn't eat until 7.30, there were 6 tables and 12 guests. When we started our meal we were the only ones eating. Had to then wait an hour for a pizza. Receptionist, a young lad tried to help with our questions but kept disappearing not his fault. We had a 11.30 flight but was told we couldn't have breakfast until 9.00am. We eventually negotiated 8.45. Now most if this may be covid but again only one person was having breakfast when we went in.Despite the owner being better with breakfast the poor service hadalready tarnished my view

Previously lived in village return to visit family hope to settle back here in retirement lovely village by the Moray firth ideal location for touring area Fort George with a visit If you want a quiet location to stay Ardersier is the place to stay good bus service to Inverness good B&B in village
Property was a short walk from the bus stop at ardersier, and has a lovely garden. Proprietor showed me to my room, asked what time I wanted breakfast, and even arranged to drop me to the airport the next morning. She also told me where all the pubs and shops were in the village. Room was lovely and clean, as was the bathroom. The next morning the breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. All in all, a very pleasant place to stay, definitely recommend.
Lovely inn, just as pictured. Comfortable bed, powerful shower, nicely decorated with all amenities I could wish for. Delightful breakfast, friendly staff. As it was a Friday night, there were several young men singing in the pub. They stopped about 10pm; I found it charming and added to the ambiance. (I chose to stay in small hotels/ inn for just this reason and avoid the sterile hotel chains.)
Well done !
As with many places in Scotland it is a tough time to staff as many people as needed. The two ladies ran the bar the restaurant and the hotel and it was packed. They did it with such Grace and Efficiency and friendliness that I take my hat off to them! The food was lovely, the room was clean and spacious, and the location to the airport is perfect. I would highly recommend staying there.
The family owners were all very welcoming and the staff super helpful. The decor was not to our taste, but a lot of thought had been put into the facilities which we greatly appreciated (and is sadly lacking in many hotels!). From under floor heating, to proper dressing tables and bathrobes, and very well-appointed bathrooms, no expense had been spared. Breakfast was very good!
Lovely old fishermans cottage right by the sea in Ardersier. Great place for the North of Scotland Moray. Dog friendly and we had lots of walks along the beach or sitting in the enclosed garden watching the sunset. Would recommend the Star Inn for a meal, local Spar for shopping needs, and the local village is very friendly.
The location right attached to the pub was super comfortable and fun to stay at.
Ardersier is a small city great for discovering the area.
The staff was nice and very helpful.
The breakfast was delicious and got even better as they were also able to provide us with a dairy free option.
I highly recommend!
The staff were very friendly and fully prepared late in the evening to welcome me after a late flight into Inverness. The room was spotlessly clean and the surrounding views are stunning. I really enjoyed the breakfast which was generous and beautifully cooked.
Hotel established in old buildings of a lovely authentic village along the firth. Very beautiful authentic and cozy lounge bar. Comfortable bedding. Very pleasant hotel by its small size. Possibility to have diner. Easy to park.
I enjoyed the spaciousness of the room, the simple decor, the comfortable bed and the hotel location. It's a short walk to the sea with it's pebbled beach. Friendly and helpful staff.
Location was ideal for us as we’re meeting SUP2 Summit near the airport.
Hotel is very clean, run by lovely, friendly people and the food was amazing (including lovely coffee).
The views of the bay are amazing, the staff are so kind and helpful and the food is great! The price of the hotel is also much less than a lot of others in the area!
The location is great for travelling from Inverness airport. A breakfast pack was offered as we left too early. The meal in the restaurant was pretty good
