The weather was terrible very high winds and very very wet but that didn't stop us from doing some sight seeing the only thing that the guest house needs a lick of paint inside and outside that would make the building more attractive everything else was fine for us and destination from Bridge to guest house sat nav said second exit but it was the first we would go back again thanks for having us Mr.+ Mrs.whitehouse

The location was just for a stop over on our way to Falkirk.
The bed had seen better days as the springs had gone and were very uncomfortable and noisy with little movement. The floorboards also were very noisy from upstairs and when moving around the room.

Scenery was nice.
Scenery was nice. You definitely need a car as a lot of walking and also you are depending on transport, which is unreliable. No shops only the Coop. If you have no car you have to walk over two bridges and back to get food. A few restaurants.Didn’t realise how far the guest house from the station was. We walked it in bad weather and it took us nearly 40 mins. It was definitely an experience. It’s a day visit place or a base to drive to other places.

The shops do get overrun by tourists often so can be difficult to get basic needs when coachloads of people are trying to get trinkets and tatt. But the views from everywhere on this island are stunning, no matter where. Kyleakin is just the first of many on your journey round.

This is not a bnb, just a bunk house, very poor, no standards, room grubby very dated, all needs upgrading, would not recommend to anyone, breakfast was well cooked, but next door in a bikers cafe! No disrespect to bikers, we also have a bike. Staff at the cafe welcoming..but its just a hostel!
I try to be fair and honest on any review, from a receptionist who was rude complete with dog sat on the desk, filthy room, stained walls and dirty bathroom, restaurant from a different age, complete with dog wandering around, meal truly dreadfull, the list is endless, that's before I had to try and get a night's sleep bed shocking, I am touring g Scotland and have been amazed at the quality and hospitality from previous hotels and BB, maybe because this is the IOS it's acceptable, but manners and cleanliness cost nothing.
The lady who runs the hostel is SO NICE! I stayed in the main part, so I can't speak to the caravans. The rooms are a good size. There's one toilet and one shower per floor, it looked like. There were no lockers, so bring a bag lock if you need it. It felt a bit rustic, but clean and safe (if you're familiar with Skye, you'll see it saves you a ton of money). There's really nothing in Kyleakin (though Eilean Donan Castle is close), so everyone is on their way somewhere else.
Exceptionally comfortable house. Sofas beds etc
Loved coal fire. Excellent views. Jacuzzi bath was veryrelaxing. Very Very clean house. Really enjoyed sitting out in garden watching the boats coming in/going out. Very peaceful area. Host was very hospitable. Location very central to explore either Isle of skye or the beautiful West Coast of Scotland.
Cannot recommend highly enough!!
Great location right next to the bridge. The rooms were well equipped and clean and were perfect for our travel weary group. The snacks in the hallway and rooms were greatly appreciated. Also a great option for people looking for places to stay that have more than one single bed in the room. More like a hotel in that way, so great for groups of people. Would definitely stay here again.
Peter was a great host communication was good ahead of arrival , Peter showed us around the unit .
The accommodation was really comfortable. Great powerful shower own outside space allocated parking .
If you like coffee the coffee machine was a great added touch, tea
Coffee was complementary.
Great location and was perfect for our short stay at the Isle of Skye .
The staff was extremely kind and helpful. It was pleasure talking to them and they really tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Please accept our gratitude for this! There are a lot of possibilities for free parking. The location provides good starting point for exploring the Isle of Skye and part of the Highlands.
The penny saving option on Skye, everything else is very expensive. Parking was plentiful and free. The check in and out staff were friendly. The room was large enough for us (we were 2 people in a 4 person room - 2 bunk beds). We had a private bathroom and shower which were 2 separate rooms, accessed with the room key.
The apartment is spotlessly clean. It has everything you might require for a self catering stay , cooker, microwave, dishwasher washing machine and fridge. Plenty of parking space.
Easy to walk into kyleakin or over the skye bridge to Kyle.
The hotel is located on a very beautiful location, close to the coast with views towards the Skye Bridge and Lighthouse. It allows you to walk easily to the whole town with magnificent views. Walking distance to restaurants and cafes.
Janette was a very welcoming and helpful host. The location is great allowing easy access both to Skye itself and to the mainland. The house provides all the essentials for a comfortable stay including dishwasher and washing machine.
Made a diversion off the normal NC500 route to visit Skye again - highly recommended.
Went for walk in the evening and saw wild otters - blydi fantastic!!
Stunning view across the loch and the bridge while having a great breakfast.
It was very clean, and a quiet place to stay, with some amazing sea views. The host was very warm and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back to stay here on our next visit to the Isle of Skye
Laurie is an amazing host, nice warm atmosphere :) Breakfast is of great quality and variety (e.g. vegetarian)! Good place to stay, if you want to wander around on the isle of Skye
Self contained cottage, spacious and very well presented. Open plan kitchen, nice bathroom and very comfortable double bed. Close to the bus stop to explore Skye further.
