Great pool, used every day. Bookshelf and space where you could leave things you don’t need for other guests like sunscreen. Had an authentic Greek night with food and dancing.

Nice and quiet, busiest time was for breakfast and it wasn't exactly busy.
Pool was very quiet in the day if you wanted to just read a book and chill.
Towels changed everyday.

Great views, quiet area but still close enough to restaurants, friendly and welcoming hosts with good tips - Laura and her son, Evans, were both great.

Myself and a friend went to film a documentary about rescue animals, so the joy I had when I arrived to see very friendly owned dogs and sweet stray cats roaming around near by! They were so friendly!
The little house we were in was lovely! The outdoor and indoor area was very clean! We had our own gate so felt secluded from the road, in our own little complex! The house is basic, but we had everything we needed! It is in such a wonderful area and close to everything you need! Host was lovely too!

Lovely room, bug free hot and cold water. The Air Con was lovely and cold. It was quiet at night and only a 5 minute walk if that to the beach. The owner was polite and has been supportive throughout the stay. He even let me pay once I turned up as there was a problem with the bank transfer. I will be recommending this to everyone back at home

The warmth of the Zakynthians.
The warmth of the Zakynthians. The food and the easy-going relaxed atmosphere. Take some time to talk to the waiting staff, as well as the owners of the establishments. You’ll learn so much and begin to feel the place.
If I had to mention any negatives it would have to be the tourists who expect too much, too quickly and are surly and rude to the hosts.
Try Anatolikos Apartments Bar. It’s Al fresco and totally peaceful. Olga, Tina, George, Yota and Adonis will make you feel right at home. Try No Name Bar or Hakuna Matata Bar or Paradisio or the Palm Tree. All are so welcoming and friendly. The Apoll Taverna is excellent and Jani, Angela, Haris, Kiki and all are too much fun. Our go to place. Fishalida is also excellent. Always recognised from previous years and always warmly welcomed. Your meal with the sea and views of Kefalonia are a must do. Whispers Bar for a drink and dance and grand traditional music playing, live. Nikos is a skilled host for whom nothing is too much trouble.

This village has grown considerably over the last 30 years.
This village has grown considerably over the last 30 years. To a purist this might not be the best thing but the people are every bit as friendly as ever. Plenty of restaurants and taverns. It’s up to the individual to find the attractions but they are all advertised and within easy reach.

Superb area.
Superb area. Not so pricey as laganas, quiter also, but many possibilities to eat and drink. We came here for the fifth time. We switched the alykes to agios sostis during this summer and are very disapointed. Maybe kalamaki could be better then alykes/alikanas, but we didnt stay in kalamaki so could not say (maybe next year). There are also some hilly climbings, you can do with a quad.

Quiet location.Ideal for a chill out holiday.
Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from
.Our favourites were Spikey's Bar for drinks.
Piccadilly,Koukounari,Hotel Asteria and Al Fresco for food.
Alykes is quite small, only one long street,so quite easy to get around.
Car and four by fours are very popular and there are plenty of hire companies.Driving can be adrenalin inducing,as the drivers tend to ignore centre lines and the cars do not appear to be equipped with indicators.

Well located if you have a car, all places up north are at less than 30 minutes away. Zakinthos town is just a 15 minute drive away and the south an extra 15 min after Zakinthos.
It has a very holiday village feel to it, full of brits, Dutch, polish and the average visitors age must be around 50-60 yo. So there are lots of options but at the same time it’s pretty laid back and quiet.
We ate in taverna Astoria which was fantastic and cheap (40 euros for 2 with beers, starter and main). Also had a gyro at the main grill shop, can’t remember the name but you can’t miss it when you’re in town (15 euros for both for giant pita gyros and drinks).
On the main road there is also a guy selling boat tours, we took a 4 hour boat ride to the shipwreck beach, caves and 3 stops for swims in turquoise waters, it was the highlight of our stay and one of our best holiday memories. The boat was pretty small compared to other huge vessels with 200 tourists on it that we saw passing by, our one had around 30 people, the crew was very nice and this only cost us 25 euros per head. Need to book at least one day prior to the trip.
Anatolikos rooms are quite basic but have everything you need . Comfortable bed, Powerful shower, Fridge, Toasted
sandwich maker and a double gas ring if required. Towels and bed were changed every other day. The balcony was a
good size with a table and two chairs. Most importantly the view from our balcony was amazing and the beach was
just 50 metres away. Tina and all the family were very friendly and helpful in every way. We will definitely return.
location was perfect for a night out in Alykes. We only booked for one night as we were waiting for guests to vacate our own villa and needed somewhere to freshen up and get our heads down for one night. It was just as we expected which was basic, clean, no frills and cheap accommodation. We will say though that the beds were very comfortable and we had a sound nights sleep after a long and gruelling journey. we would book again.
The place was wonderfull, the beach with so blue and clear water just some steps from the house, and so peacfull, private..We loved this place a lot!
The house is very cozy, comfortable and very well equiped with all the necesarry things. And host was so kind, very friendly and positive meeting with her🤍Thanks a lot for such a paradise place! And thank you for your special presents🫶We will come back here for sure!!!☀️
An old restored property with a lot of history behind, enriched with modern facilities was the location where we spent a few peaceful days. The owners are very kind, they cook very delicious food. The rooms are large, nice bathroom. We had a wonderful sea view from the balcony. You can walk from here to the beach, but it is much easier if you have a car. We liked this special accommodation very much.
Fantastic hospitality, good recommendations for restaurants and places to visit (staff knows all the hidden gems), great location for enjoying day trips but also the beach (50m), the cozy town, nature and much more. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated and the atmosphere was amazing. Everything was clean and of good standard. Bed was comfortable.
An absolute paradise! Our stay at the Golden Village 2 Villa in Zakynthos was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a stunning view of the crystal-clear waters. The villa itself was immaculate and beautifully decorated, offering a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional charm.
The property is located just minutes away from beach, restaurants and shops. The beach is sandy with cristal, clear water (perfect for children). The rooms are completely renovated and very clean. Staff was very friendly and very helpful in giving recommendations of things to do. Thank you, Denise, for your kindness!
Great pool area and right next to all the action and a short walk from a gorgeous beach. We had a 2 level room which we really liked. Cleaners came in and cleaned every day. The pool bar snack area was really nice. Great value for money overall compared to the cost of a hotel in the dreary and expensive UK!
Everything. Beautiful green area, nice and clean apartament with tastefull furniture, well equiped kitchen for 4 people (parents and two young boys). Close by the sandy beach Alykes and perfect location for arriving in max 30 driving minutes in every interest point from the beautiful island.
Everything was perfect. The apartment was very nice, beachfront and had an amazing sea view. Our host Vikki was always so kind and helpful. She also offered a transport from the airport to the house for a friendly price. I strongly recommend this place to have a lovely holidays in Alykes.
Whole hotel feels like a resort. View of the mountains is beautiful, whole property is really private, room was clean and staff really polite and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and had a variety during the week. We would definitely come back again!

I didn't have breakfast, but I enjoyed many dinners on the patio and would recommend to anyone the food and the convivial environment.
Almost every guest both dinner and hotel were repeat and extended stays.
My favorite in Greece so far! I loved the hotel room size, how clean and pretty it is, I loved the large pool, access to lift for our luggage, breakfast, the restaurant and close to beaches and nightlife!!!!
Great location in a great family beach town. Had most basic amenities. Parking is included but the best thing is it’s a short walk to the beach. We loved it and would definitely stay again.
The room was pretty big, clean and comfy as well as bathroom. The room had balcony with a mountain view which was pretty decent. Price for this hotel was very good at our stay dates.
