Argassi is a very nice and lively area in Zakynthos.
Argassi is a very nice and lively area in Zakynthos. There is a lot of traffic you need to get accustomed to, but it is great. Lots of restaurants and bars. Not very much options to visit a beach, but its good.
We have traveled the whole Island, but Argassi was the best place to stay in the evening.

Fantastic location for visiting all areas of the island.
Fantastic location for visiting all areas of the island. Several tour operators to arrange your ideal days out can definitely recommend Michael's tours for car hire and personalised trips.
There is a wide range of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets.
No beach as such but many beach bars with sun bed areas and access into the waterr I would definitely recommend Remmezos. Great food and fab hosts.
The resort is almost flat so no problems with mobility.
Argassi is about 15 minutes taxi ride from
the airport, taxis are available right outside the airport and currently cost €20

Argasi is a small town at the coast.
Argasi is a small town at the coast. It’s quite touristic, with many shops with cheap beach stuff, which all look the same. Many restaurants, which offer typical Greek food for tourists (grilled meat, fries, etc.). It’s a long a busy, loud street, walking is very difficult there. There are some bars but nothing really like a club for dancing. You cannot really walk along the beach, since most of the time there is no real sand beach, the hotels and restaurants span to the ocean and then there is directly the water.
Restaurant prices vary from 9 to 16€ per dish.
There are many offers for tourist activities like renting a squad car or taking a boat trip.
I wouldn’t stay here again, since it was too busy and touristy for my taste.
I whole-heartedly recommend the restaurant “erato” though. Great food and perfect service!

Agassi is a much more sober environment than Laganos.
Agassi is a much more sober environment than Laganos.
The beaches are not deep, and not all the hotels by the sea have a beach. The hotel furthest south with beach access is "Paradise".
On August 24th you can get a bus from most places to the main town to celebrate St Dennis.... its a big event... prepare to be underwhelmed.

It is calmer than Laganas, so definitely a plus..
It is calmer than Laganas, so definitely a plus.. But generally Zakynthos doesn't have ancient architecture to admire.. So be prepared just for tourist shops and restaurants...
Also if you wanna see nice beaches you need to go by boat.
4 days in Zakyntos would be optimal, a week was too much.

It was end of season, so very quiet.
It was end of season, so very quiet. Lots of restaurants and bars. Access to beaches also. Regular buses mon-sat from Argassi to Zante. Taxis available too. Argassi is small, so easy enough to walk around. Walk from Ionian Hill hotel into Argassi approx 10 mins.
Everything was great from the beginning of our vacation. The staff was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The food was delicious with a great variety of meat, traditional and international cuisine. We recommend to book a superior room because they are newly furnished and spacious. Staying at the pool was a pleasure, the aerobic program was a pleasure and the pool bar manager was one of a kind. To sum up, we recommend booking your vacation at Diana Palace Hotel if you want to have a wonderful time in Zakynthos.
Amazing villa with quality everything from bedding to kitchen equipment. This is not a cheaply built house intended for rental you can feel it was built with love, thoughtfulness and high quality materials making for a luxury stay! Pictures on the app don’t do it justice…
Sparkling clean
Great base to explore Zakynthos although you may find you don’t want to leave the villa!
Super accommodating host, nothing is too much trouble!
Alisaxni Studios is a great and relaxed little place to stay; it has all the amenities nearby: 20 m to the (relatively quiet) beach; 50 m to a small shop for drinks and groceries; 100 m to a great bakery; 50 m to great restaurants (try Marlen or Portokali). The owners are super hospitable and will make sure you enjoy your stay; many thanks to Dennis and family, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Zante.
We loved the huge balcony with a spectacular view over Argassi and the sea, probably the best in town! If you wake up early enough, you can watch the sunrise from the balcony. The host was very hospitable and responsive, he offered to give us a ride from Zakynthos city to the apartments on a rainy day and gave us great tips and advice. The room was exactly what we needed for a 4 day stay in Argassi.
I think the location of the accommodation is the best possible in Zakynthos, of course it depends on who has what needs. In Argasi,, everything is close, restaurants, shops, etc.
The hotel is very cozy, very comfortable, the pool, the restaurant are very demanding, the breakfast is perfect, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. The staff is very helpful, everyone is kind.
Now this is the place to stay . It’s Agassi. Right on the beach. An absolute gem. Not too far not to close from anything . Place comes fully equipped with washing machine , detergent, sunscreen and dish washing liquid. Yiu must stay here . I only wish the lord can bless me with Moore days . Stelios se efharisto
The Hosts were the best i've ever stayed with, if we return to Zante it would be my first choice. We went out of season and most things were closed but we still found places to go and eat and drink, Flora and Maria made suggestions for us to visit and they were right.
Two pools, a beachfront location, and complimentary Wi-Fi make Agoulos a top choice. Relax by the pools or on the beach, stay connected with free Wi-Fi and enjoy the convenience of this excellent setting. It's a great pick for a memorable stay!
Amazing hotel, great big room with a view to mountains sea and pool, amazing staff, just amazing. Very very clean. We visited in the end of the season so sunbeds were always available and also you get towels for the pool if you need
The hotel is in a good position, in fact you can have a walk in Argassi by feet, without need of taking the car. The place is near Laganas and Zakynthos Town (~15 min by car).
A free parking spot is another pro for this place
Argasi is a very good place to visit the island. close to Zante city and to the airport. The hotel was ok, with spacious, cozy and clean rooms. Markets and restaurants all around.
The hotel is located on a hill with a magnificent sunset view
The staff was very helpful with all of our requests.
The breakfast was of large variety ,plentiful and tasteful
I relaxed on the sunbeds in the garden and enjoyed the free Wi-Fi. It's just 3 km from Zakynthos town, and the staff even helped with car rental. Parking was free too!
I had a wonderful stay at this 3-star hotel! The pool, free private parking, garden, and shared lounge made my experience truly enjoyable. Recommended to everyone.
