The island is big, but you can go everywhere easily with public transportation, the bus station is near to the port and they have very clear schedules, the buses leave on time and you can pay by card for the tickets. Parikia is a good place to begin your travels of Paros. it is a convenient location to base yourself in as there is a bus terminal that allows you to take a short ride to Naoussa and surrounding areas. Overall, we preffered the small village of Aliki for a longer stay, as it was quiter and had a more relaxing vibe. The beaches in Parikia were not overly special, and I would not advise staying here if you desire luxury scenery. If you wish to visit the nicer beaches, definitely hire an ATV. Parikia used to be the black sheep of the family concerning Paros villages. Eveyone told me that Naoussa is the best place to be. I beg to differ. Paros has come under a big progress restaurant wise and is one of the few greek islands where you can have so many options in dining, especially italian. The only thing missing from Parikia is a bar or club where people can dance all night. It's the puzzle piece that will complete the upgrade.

You wont find a decent restaurant even tho there are numerous ones to choose from .......... I have been to numerous locations in Greece and so i can speak from experience. Situated in the heart of Paros, it took us only a couple of minutes to walk down from the Port and then a couple of minutes to walk through to the streets of Parikia. The rooms were spacious and very clean, beds were extremely comfortable. Room was suitable for 4 people, even though we were only 3. Vas and the team were very hospitable and helpful, always available to help and answer our question.

I was travelling alone, and they even invited me to hang out with them. You can also meet other guests in the hotel during the morning coffee, when everyone hangs out and chats. We were spoiled with figs from her garden and delicious tartlets on arrival. The pension is well positioned in a quiet neighbourhood close to the centre of Parikia.
