The location of Bastion Heritage Hotel is ideal for exploring all that Zadar has to offer. Situated within the historic walls of Zadar Old Town it is walking distance to all landmarks and the sea. We were able to immerse ourselves in the vibrant culture and history of this enchanting destination with ease. Our room was spacious, very clean, and we had stunning views overlooking the sea. Sunrise was especially beautiful. The spiral staircase stood out immediately, adorned with original stone walls, and was a stunning focal point within the hotel's interior. It evoked a sense of history and grandeur and I preferred ascending and descending the stairs instead of taking the lift.
The staff's exceptional service exceeded our expectations, leaving a lasting impression on our experience. From the warm welcome at check-in to the helpful recommendations for exploring the city, every interaction was characterised by genuine warmth and professionalism. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfect, and for that, we are truly grateful. A special thanks to Marina and Ivan for their outstanding service and attention to detail throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble.
In summary, our stay at Bastion Heritage Hotel Zadar exceeded all expectations and left us with memories to cherish for a lifetime. This hotel is the perfect choice for an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return.

A great hotel @ Zadar. Owners and staff are very courteous and beautiful. Superb comfy rooms. Free parking. The vibe and deco is "old school" luxury hotel. But everything is maintained well. Amazing restaurant. Value for money

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The decor was beautiful in the bedrooms. Bedroom was very comfortable with great shower and really comfortable bed and pillows. We ate at the hotel restaurant Nomu and the food was exceptional. I was not familiar with Japanese food and it surpassed expectations. Waiter very helpful with wine selections. Breakfast was also delicious. Photos really do not do it justice.

Brilliant city, we only had a few days and wished we had longer. I’d say you need a car to get around but because we didn’t need to use public transport I can’t really comment on how good it is.
Loads to see and do, went with a young family and they loved the sea organs!

Zadar is such a gem, I cannot recommend this city enough.
Zadar is such a gem, I cannot recommend this city enough. I visited in early April and the weather was fantastic but there were not many tourists so that was a positive. All shopkeepers, waiters, and people in hospitality/tourism I spoke with were all so friendly. Prices are also very affordable and there is so much history to experience.

Zadar is a beautiful city.
Zadar is a beautiful city. There is so much to see and enjoy. Sunsets were breathtaking. So many lovely cafes, bars & restaurants & all very reasonably priced.
The apartment was perfect, spacious and very well equipped. For anyone who wants to self cater, there is a more than an adequate supply of pots, pans, crockery and other cooking & serving utensils. Furnishings are very comfortable.
The apartment is a 15-20 minute walk from the Old Town. I found it to be a safe & easy walk. It was nice, after a day sightseeing, to return to a quiet residential area. A bit like a home away from home.
The owners were there to greet me when I arrived and they were very welcoming and helpful.
I would be very happy to return to Stunning apartment and to recommend it to family & friends.
This family owned hotel and restaurant exceeded all our expectations. We stayed over a week in Zadar. Had wonderful food. And yet chose to eat at the Niko restaurant on multipole evenings because the food AND the service was so exceptional. The breakfast is unbelievable. A choice of made-to-order omelets or pancakes...but a buffet that was more than enough even without the warm items. One day we asked if we could be served breakfast early because we had an early event. Offered to pay extra. They wouldn't hear of charging us extra!!!
We spent 2 weeks travelling Croatia and Sites of Zadar was by far the nicest apartment we stayed in.
The location can't be beaten- in the centre of the old town and everything on your doorstep.
The apartment was modern, recently renovated and spotless. The bathroom in particular was lovely and the shower pressure was great.
The host, Vladimir, was very friendly, easy to communicate with and offered a flexible check in time.
We would 100% return next time we visit Zadar.
An outstanding boutique hotel in an excellent spot. Having stayed in Zadar several times, this is my favourite hotel. The receptionist/manager is a lovely lady, with a great sense of humour. She brightened up our day. The Booking.com hotel listing doesn't do this place just. Really nice inside, great walled garden/restaurant, smart rooms. Quirky decoration and art, plus plenty of history in this converted miltary hospital. My go to choice next time I'm in Zadar.
-Location is not far much from old town, it is near Bus station and supermarkets around, many hotels in area, near Yacht station, Cafés.
-Staff was warm and kind, so helpful and amazing 👏
-Rooms included a Bathroom, normal one
-Hostel was clean but can be cleaner.
-You cannot use kitchen.
-very organized Hostel.
-Good area outside for relaxing and eat, sunny always.
-The best part, there is a sea beach nearby so nice.
-Breakfast Normal.
It is a fairly good hotel, quite standard old Yugoslav style, recently renovated. Quite simple but has adequate amenities. Everything is there, but it is not the greatest quality - which is to be expected, to be fair, based on the price. Breakfast has a good choice and enough sitting area. It is a short walk from the gates of Zadar old town - a pleasant stroll, but probably on the long side if you are with small children.
The room was perfectly situated in old town. You couldn't ask for a more central room than this. Room was very clean and air condition and wifi were excellent. Would stay again! Definitely suggest parking at Ul. Krešimira Ćosića, 23000, Zadar, Croatia. It's about a 7 minute walk, but it is the cheapest option, and you can park overnight. Make sure to have Kuna (Euro post Jan 2023) for payment for parking.
The apartment was very clean and everything looks pretty new.
The apartment is also located central within the old town of Zadar and has a small market outside the window.
Contacting the host was simple and they replied quickly to our messages.
Picking up the keys was easy and the host provided simple instructions ahead of our arrival.
The room was a good size and the hotel has an elevator which was a welcome sight after spending weeks traveling in old towns with only steep steps! The location was central and the bedding and towels were high quality and comfortable. The room was clean. You could pay for the city parking at the hotel which was very helpful.
Rooms are big and relaxing. Place is silent so that you can get a really nice sleep for getting ready for next days.. :)).. restaurant was also so nice. Foods are delicious. Breakfast was exactly how it should be. I have 5 stars hotels crowded breakfasts. In Fortuna Rooms your can enjoy relaxation of service. :)).
Large apartment with great clean swimming pool. All facilities available:- dishwasher, washing machine, aircon, etc. Close to beach and bars. 10 min uber to Zadar. We were a family of 5 and had plenty of space. The owner was extremely helpful. 5 star service. Would definitely go back again
Clean, comfortable, modern, new hotel only 10-15 minutes walk from Zadar's old town. Breakfast was great, with plenty of choice. We had lunch in the hotel restaurant when we arrived, and it was the nicest meal we had in Zadar. The bed was very comfortable, and our room was very quiet.
Family hotel on the beach, attentive and dedicated staff and owner ready to help and give useful information for the stay. Correct size room with sea view, ideal to discover Zadar via the bus that stops in front of the hotel (convenient !)
The hotel is well situated for accessing Zadar’s historical center and other uniques features of the city including the Greeting to the Sun and the Sea Organ. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Nice family owned hotel located in the old town of Zadar. Attentive and helpful hosts. Major tourist attractions and restaurants are within hand's reach. Free parking outside the residence if you book a spot in advance.
Bastion Heritage Hotel - Relais & Châteaux was in a great location as it was walking distance to all the major attractions in Zadar. The staff was very accommodating and the complimentary breakfast was exceptional.
An ok hotel located 10 minutes away from the old town of Zadar. Fairly forgettable, but the room was clean, the breakfast buffet was ok and the price was reasonable. The hotel was fine for a one night stay.
The room was very clean. We had a 6-berth room for a family of five. Shared bathroom but all very clean and modern.
Was perfect for a cheap, one-night stay in Zadar old town as a stopover.
There are not so many hotels in Zadar old town and this is one of them. I really like the location and the fact that is a boutique hotel in the heart of the old town!
