Quinlan & Cooke Boutique Townhouse and QCs Seafood Restaurant, hotel in Cahersiveen

Quinlan & Cooke Boutique Townhouse, formerly QC's, is family-run and situated in Cahersiveen on The Wild Atlantic Way.

Bisque was amazing. Restaurant food and wine options very good. Excellent service in the restaurant. Prices really ok too. Breakfast in room as such ok, same menu every morning was not great. More pieces of bread would be good, too limited. Would have preferred a full Irish breakfast in the restaurant. The breakfast solution in room not really great at all

Stay Skelligs, hotel in Cahersiveen

Located in Portmagee and only 6.8 km from Skellig Experience Centre, Stay Skelligs provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Above picture is of another property on site. We (myself and friend) booked a 2 bedroomed house. A bigger more luxurious option. Ciaran (a talented builder, gent and regaler extraordinaire, could NOT have made us feel more welcome. His wife Caroline was away for our arrival but joined us for a equally warm welcome on the following evening. Comfort of a very high standard, beautiful walk on our doorstep, the gorgeous Portmagee within a 5 minute drive. The spectacular scenery and people of this gem in Portmagee (Irish: An Caladh, meaning "the ferry")[2] is a village in County Kerry, Ireland. The village is located on the Iveragh peninsula south of Valentia Island, and is known locally as 'the ferry', in reference to its purpose as a crossing point to the island. Access to Valentia Island is now via the Maurice O'Neill Memorial Bridge (R565 road) from Portmagee, which was built in 1970 and named in memory of a member of the IRA executed in 1942 for his part in the shooting dead of Detective George Mordaunt in Dublin.[3][4]

Lovely friendly town with a few pubs ( although less than was open on our last trip). Music in some of the pubs and one which was full of locals and pleasant to sit and chat in. Some interesting little shops and near Valentia Island which is a very interesting place to spend a day.

    What a great little town.

What a great little town. What’s even better is that you can just head to the Ring of Skellig, which is breathtaking. So glad it was a cloudy day because we got the fog nestling into the hills. The contrast of the landscape in terms of colors was amazing. I would have done another loop just to see it all again! We will be back.

Was not very impressed really the room was a bit tired and lacked any nice touches it just had enough to get you by, very basic. The host Christine was ok but seemed a bit miserable to be honest which is not very good when you are running a b&b this left me and my partner feeling like she wanted you gone as soon as possible. Would choose another place to stay next time.

Quaint town plenty of tourist attractions, very friendly locals and three beautiful sunny days unfortunately day four was a typically Irish day referred to locally as "damp".As stated earlier could not visit the local hostilities due to the prohibition that has been inflicted upon us, but all for a very good reason that we will still be around next year to enjoy The Ring Of Kerry Hotel and beautiful County Kerry.

Cahersiveen is such a great base for a few days.

Cahersiveen is such a great base for a few days. You'll need time to go to Valentia Island and fully explore (which is well worth it), and go to the Kerry Cliffs (which we thought were better than Moher). We had an amazing seafood chowder in Pormagee, and would have taken another day to explore the Skelligs but we were here off season.

My husband and I randomly picked a place in Ireland to go and we luckily landed on cahersiveen. Was a beautiful place with lovely people and breathtaking scenery!! Highly recommend a visit to this beautiful place. Why would you need to leave Ireland when we live in such a beautiful country! We will definitely be back! All the food we ate was amazing and not a rip off we stayed at skellig star hotel which was fantastic will definitely be returning to stay again! We traveled to Bray head the views where breathtaking! We also travelled to dingle to visit the aquarium highly recommend visiting also.

Incredible spot! Every single little detail is just perfect -- from the amazing pub downstairs to the spacious living quarters upstairs. This is hands down the best home we've ever stayed in! We also appreciated Tom's flexibility with us on an early check-in and setting us up with a keg of Guinness. The home is perfectly located. We loved being in Cahersiveen -- a great jumping off point for all Ring of Kerry sights. We were blessed with beautiful weather and hiked the nearby Castlequin Loop which provided the most amazing views!!

I will be returning to this guest house next time I visit Kerry , the welcome and warmth from the hosts was so nice after a long drive. The room I stayed in was spotless clean, a cosy, comfy bed and good hot ,shower. This house is ideal for exploring around Cahersiveen. I had a delicious breakfast in the French cafe in town . The views from the house of Knocknatobar are awesome. sitting back, watching the changing light over the mountain is a welcome break from traveling around Ireland. Thanks you Joan and family!

Eamonn & Joan made us feel right at home. They cooked a traditional Irish breakfast that was the best in all of Ireland. They gave us recommendations for dinner and we had two delightful meals in town just 5 minutes away. The location was perfect for touring the Ring of Kerry. And it is a short drive to Portmagee where we had an amazing boat ride to the Skellig Islands. And their pup Charlie was adorable! We loved every minute there.

Breakfast was great; Ann made fresh warm dishes and you were able to pick yoghurts and fruits yourself. Fresh Orange juice and strong coffee was also provided (good to know for the coffee drinkers amongst us haha). Both Ian and Ann made us feel at home. Upon arrival Ian was very enthousiastic to show and explained using a map highlights we should visit at Cahersiveen. Def worth staying here!

It’s a unique, well decorated townhouse with attention to details. It’s both comfortable and beautiful. The continental breakfast is fresh and delicious with whole fruits, cheeses, jams, pastries, salmon, extra drinks, and teas/coffees provided inside your accommodations. There is plenty of on site parking in a gated private lot with a private walkway leading into the seafood restaurant.

It was a great location not far from my relatives. I'm not sure if I read well, if breakfast was included, but we did not have any breakfast. But in general, it was good. It was a little bit expensive compared to Dublin's hotels.
