Beautiful Seaside town, Extremeley friendly and helpful people. Even when language was a barrier they would find some one or we would use translate. Even bus drivers and train conductors were so helpful.

It´s a small town, within walking distance, and everything you need is around the corner.
We found the best hotel and also a bar/restaurant where we had drinks and dinner down on the beach directly on the sand.

Anzio is a quiet beach place with nice restaurants, a port , nice little shops and the historical ruins of Nero's palace at the sea. 50km from Rome it is the right place to stay if you would like to combine Rime visits and in between some beach breaks.

Anzio is a non-touristic, quiet port town. Decent beaches, both free and paid.
A good starting point for hydrofoil travel to Ponza Island. From here there are hydrofoils that will take you there in an hour and a half. Other places only use regular cruise ships, but they offer a four-hour journey.
There are many good restaurants with local fresh fish and seafood as well as local wines.
A place worth staying for shorter and longer periods.

Pleasant surprise!
Pleasant surprise! We learnt that the beaches around Anzio are popular among people from the Rome region, so there are mostly local people. Long, very nice beach with clean water, shallow sea and fine sand.

if you want to stay near Rome and have the benefit of a cooler summer atmosphere and a beach holiday this it , far better than staying Ostia or Fiumicino. frequent trains air conditioned and an hours journey rome for targeted visiting.
I am so pleased that we chose Mirage Rooms for our short stay in Anzio. Our room overlooked the beach and it was a fantastic view. The balcony had a table and chairs where we could sit and watch the waves and sunset - beautiful!
The room was small, but clean. The wardrobe had plenty of space to hang clothes and the bed was quite comfortable.
There is also a rooftop terrace with chairs and tables for guests to enjoy.
We really appreciated the fridge full of water bottles for guests as it was very hot during our stay.
We enjoyed staying at this wonderful apartment. It is spacious and bright. The train station is very close so it is easy to go to Rome which is quite close. I want to admit that there is no loud noise from the trains. The view is marvelous, the air is fresh. There are shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants not far from the house. The beach is also 10 minutes from the apartment. The Host is very nice and friendly and always ready to help.
We had a very good time at B&B Vittoria. The rooms are very modern, comfy and clean. We also had a little balcony. Located in the small town of Anzio, it is just a 5 minutes walk to the nice beach at the ruines of the Villa of nero or just around the corner to the city center. The owner is very welcoming and nice. She also gave us recommendations for Restaurants and activites in town.
The interior is beautiful, as in photos, the actual size in reality more space THAN a photo. everything is very convenient. Free parking, very convenient, which is really relevant in Italy. Close to the beaches, very convenient breakfast in the room, at a convenient time for you. everything is super. Ideal price. A helpful and polite owner 🙂 of the house.
super friendly, responsive and kind-hearted host! Francesca took us from the nearest train station and back. Apartment is very clean, neat and cute! the beautiful beach is about 5 min walking from the apartment. the good cost of money. super comfortable for vacation with kids! breakfasts was so good and delicious!
A beautifully compact studio apartment, all within two rooms, but contained everything you need as a base to explore. 45 minutes from Rome Termini on the train from Anzio Colonia (fifteen minutes walk from the apartment) and right on the beach via a short flight of wooden stairs.
It was right on the beach. The sound of the waves was idyllic and restful. Really comfy bed and pillows. Welcoming staff always attentive. Savory meals. We enjoyed walking on the beach so much. Free and safe parking. Simple but very comfortable and great value! Highly recommend!
property is right on the beach. it is an old fashioned Italian family hotel with all the advantages of that, but has no five star pretences at all. Most people will love it - others maybe not so much. The owners and staff put everything into it to make you feel comfortable.
Excellent location! 1 step to the beach, 2 steps to the sea. Apartment is beautiful with balcony and terrace with beautiful sea view. I loved everything. Exacly what I was looking for after sightseeing in Rome, place for relax! Wish I could come back one day :)
The appartment was great. Good confort and facilities. 5 mins drive from beach. 50 mins - 1 hour drive from Rome center. Place to park the car outside. Check-in was self made so we did not even meet the host. The communication with the host was very good.
A beautiful, clean apartment, with access to the beach, a roof terrace, and safe parking. Gabriele left us a little gift, as it was my girlfriend's birthday, and recommended some excellent restaurants nearby.
Wish we stayed longer than 1 night.
The property is very clean, near a beach with an attractive morning and evening view. The breakfast is testy and with sufficient variety. The staffs are well coming and cooperative. It worth the money you paid. Ideal for couples.
-- A good location near the train station. You can walk by foot. Very convenient for a back trip to Rome.
-- Cosy dining room and homemade breakfast.
-- Friendly owner always ready to help.
-- Good Wi-Fi
The location is fantastic. Near the beach and main square. Gelato across the street and the bar were great. and it was very comfortable the bed and desk upstairs
