Very good location to visit the Syracuse-Ortigia and the Baroque cities Modica- Ragusa-Sciccly and Noto. We where in Ragusa Ibla, very cozy old Baroque city with good restaurants ( even for Michelin Lovers there where 2 restaurants with stars ) For doing the tour of the Baroque cities you need a car and to driving and parking in the narrow streets you have to kbe not sressy and concentrated. Also good for your work out , there are many stairs up and down in the city.

Ragusa itself is a beautiful town and very walkable, I'd recommend three or four nights to do it justice. As a town it feels like tourism is an 'add-on' and therefore feels very genuine and Sicilian as are the restaurants all of which we thought were excellent. The only downside is the public transport, to go anywhere outside of Regusa we found to be quite a challenge as basically you have to rely on taxis, however maybe the transport issue is what has kept Regusa such a beautiful place so its not all bad!!!

Ragusa is an enchanting hill town in rural Sicily.

Ragusa is an enchanting hill town in rural Sicily. It is surrounded by steep gorges, with the town spreading up three steep linked hills. It's a fantastic place to spend a few hours exploring the narrow steep streets. We found some wonderful shops - intended for tourists, but good value. There were also fantastic eateries and the local people we interacted with all seemed charming and helpful. We ate dinner in La Bettola in Ragusa Ibla, which was delicious and great value.

Ragusa consist of two small towns located on two hills connected by walking path and stairs. The view is just amazing, especially at night. There is good selection of restaurants. The walks through the narrow streets are very enjoyable.

Ragusa has two parts to it, the old and new. The old city is very beautiful and interesting to explore. The main street is fun with restaurants, shops and a park at the end with wonderful views of the valley and mountains beyond. We did not go up the hill to the new city however so we cannot characterize it.

I loved Ragusa, the roads are difficult with a larger vehicle but this shouldn’t put you off just research your routes and think about where accessible parking can be found. The new town is interesting but not touristy whilst the old town is a lovely labyrinth of medieval street and lanes with beautiful Baroque architecture. There are restaurants worth searching for and we particularly enjoyed the ‘5 senses’!

Exquisite taste, attention to detail, beauty everywhere you look, elegance in abundance, comfort beyond compare, efficient friendly supportive staff, secure parking right there (a bit tricky pulling into the narrow driveway- pull in your side mirrors). Breakfast in abundance as well with pretty much anything you care to order including eggs Benedict. This is indeed a true “vero e proprio” 5 star luxury hotel. And a healthy walk to the old Ibla lower part of town. I must confess, we took a cab back up. no problem.

Modern hotel in a quiet square providing a respite from the tourist hubbub of Ragusa Ibla yet a lovely walk to there. Ragusa Superiore a few blocks from the hotel you find a lovely square and great restaurants. Now to the 20/10 part of the review. Chiara and staff we amazing- from booking a hair appointment for my wife, dinner reservations and tirelessly searching for a transport option. Breakfast was superb including freshly made cannoli. Our junior suite was simply luxurious with amazing views of Ibla.

it was perfect! the room was clean, well presented, and the little balcony in our room was my favourite spot in Sicily so far! Peppe was the best host, arranging us to be collected from the car park, giving fabulous recommendations and being lovely to chat to over breakfast. Breakfast it’s self was delicious, with a fabulous selection of everything you could wish for. if in Ragusa make sure you stay here! (or even if you’re not, make a trip to come!)

The hotel is ideally located at the top end of Ragusa Ibla so walking to explore the area is easy - just ten minutes or so to the Duomo and a further few minutes to the Public Gardens at the other end of Ragusa Ibla. There is also a bus stop a few metres from the hotel for journeys to the stations for buses or trains. The room was spacious and had a balcony with a view of both town and countryside. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

We really appreciated our very helpful host. He brought us a delicious breakfast each morning at the time of our choosing. He gave us many great choices for eating at both uptown and down. The bed was super comfy. The air-conditioning worked well. It was quiet at night. We were well situated to walk to the upper town and close to the gazillion stairs to get to the lower town. Ragusa should not be missed when traveling in Sicily!

Katia greeted us when we arrived. The location was at the city center of Ragusa Ibla. We had plenty of options of great restaurants near by and were able to explore by walking during the day. We loved the breakfast that was provided. Bonus points for getting us a taxi on a Sunday when our private transfer car was switched to a different location. We highly recommend this cute bed & breakfast hotel!

Lovely pool and huge garden. House was nicely decorated and had air conditioning. Our host responded quickly if there were any issues and he recommended beaches and restaurants. He also kindly provided food for us which was a lovely welcome when we arrived. It was a short walk to Ragusa Ibla, the old town, up some steps. Each room had an ensuite bathroom which was luxury we don't have at home!

Little house in the middle of the small streets of Ragusa, close to Ragusa Ibla. The owner greeted us upon checkin and showed us to our room. A comfortable home-like studio apartment. Depending on needs, location is its biggest plus, within easy walking distance of both bus and train stations and Ragusa center. From the bus station, a transfer is possible to Ibla Ragusa. Host is personable and helpful, and prices his apartment at a very affordable rate.
