I haven't reached to the 10 km long Sottomarina beach though, as yet, as I came to see this year's Venice Art Biennale which shows were evenly spread all over Venice city, in particular at the Aresenale and the Giardini places where the concentration of artist participants is bigger. Through this past week, I had to hurry myself everyday to reach there and return back to my hotel on time. Sottomarina is a seaside resort and a locale developed as a beach resort attracting visitors from nearby cities like Venice and Padua. Its city, Chioggia was the biggest salt mine in Europe once and is older than Venice. The area of my hotel is quite remarkable as it fulfills itself with modernist residential architecture. Besides, it's environ has an interesting mix of vegetation; breathtaking trees and foliages that make the air pristine, enriching the Adriatic ecosystem.Tafesse - 10Scored 10

Our stay in Sottomarina was great. Easy walking distance to Chioggia town, but with a less touristy atmosphere that we enjoyed. During our stay in October, the beach was quiet and just a very short walk from the apartment. Breakfast was pastry and coffee at a local bakery about 2 blocks from the apartment. Our hostess provided lots of good local information whenever we inquired.

It's a nice seaside resort. Plenty of beach front, plenty of attractions, plenty of night life. Very close (walking distance) to Chioggia which is a charming medieval city with plenty of places to eat, romantic canals and a thriving nightlife.

Great staff, very helpful. The bungalow was clean and pretty. No pop up in the sink, bathroom window too high to be opened. Not one dishwasher tab , no salt, no soap, etc, you have tò buy everything for the kitchen and the bathroom The location Is good, quiet, but not too far from Sottomarina

The city is close enough to Venice to get easily to the city and far away enough to avoid crowds. There is a bus that goes to Venice - every 30 / 60 minutes (the last one leaves Venice at 1 AM) There are some nice restaurants and walking areas. Beaches are long and wide. There are plenty of umbrellas available (I do not know the price per day).

Tidy apartment; we took a studio, the room was not very but big enough for 2 people, well maintained, located at a quiet street. In summary, an excellent owner and super convenient place for staying with children. If we go back to Sottomarina, we will definitely choose this place again!

You’ll get sunbeds and an umbrella assigned to you on behalf of the hotel so you don’t have to worry about that. There’s also a parking garage if you travel by car.
