Exceptionally helpful and welcoming staff. Our bicycles were safely stored in the Bar. I think that couldn't happen if they were busy, but it was very accommodating of them. Our room was a bit small, but we knew that because it was one of the cheaper rooms. The location is right in the centre of Volterra with lots of places to eat nearby. The breakfast (€15 each) was outstanding with both savoury and sweet offers. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

The villa was a wonderful place to stay!
The villa was a wonderful place to stay! The building was built in the 15th century but has all the modern amenities. Our host/owner Luca was so accommodating in every way. His staff prepared a delicious breakfast each morning with many varieties of local cuisine. He had even prepared a map and detailed itinerary for several day trips if we wanted to explore the surrounding towns and other sights. This hotel was an excellent find.

not the most interesting of fortified hill top towns, but nice enough. Not an awful lot too see apart from the stunning views and the inevitable torture museum which we came across in three other locations

Volterra is a beautiful historic town and walking around the narrow streets feels like stepping back several centuries in time. Walking around the traffic free central area was a pleasure. We visited several historic buildings including the beautiful cathedral. Also some excellent museums with great collections and works of art. There are many lovely restaurants and cafes too which make Volterra well worth a visit.

We couldn't have wished for a better place than Villa Gemelli!
Fantastic design, spacious, comfortable & well equiped.
Amazing pool overlooking green hills of Tuscany!
Willa is perfectly located in a close proximity to San Gimigiano and Volterra, also perfect as a starting point to further situated cities like Siena, Montepulciano or Pisa.
Great, nice and easy contact with the owner, helpful and increadibly nice ladies looking after the property.
Our group of friends spent there one of the best holidays ever.
THANK YOU!!!
This place is another proof that you basically can't go wrong in Tuscany. Location is just amazing, in the dead center of Volterra, just a short walk anywhere in town. The room was large and comfy, and breakfast is just delicious. Staff is always smiling and ready to help. I particularly like that they have a room that you can safely leave your stuff if you check out early, and pick up when you leave town. Oh, and they also can point out where you can park for free parking overnight.
it‘s a splendid villa surrounded by unaltered tuscan landscape. quiet, spacious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, authentic italian meals. they speak german and english fluently. it doesn‘t say it on booking.com but there are a lot of classes (learn italian, sculpting, photo, cooking) and they take about a week.
loved the pool.
volterra is 15 min away.
everything is taken care of so in theory you don‘t have to live the grounds.
great value for money.
The villa is located about ~15 minute drive from old town Volterra with a huge garden around it. The apartment we stayed in was very nice with a small kitchenette and shaded outside seating as well. There is parking at the location. It is very well situated to explore Volterra and the surrounding area or just to spend a day or two chilling in the garden or at the pool.
super comfort bed In comfortably sized room with gorgeous view. fabulous breakfast with all homemade foods, very friendly staff - the owner and his wife so welcoming, friendly and helpful. just outside of the walled “city” of Volterra with its many restaurants. After 5 nights we were sad to leave. I 100% recommend this hotel!
This was the perfect place for our experience in Volterra. In the middle of everything with easy access to all of the main core and the many attractions and experiences. The place was great, with a fantastic terrace to relax on and listen to the vibes and sounds of a very exciting town. This was a fantastic experience
Fantastic hotel with great staff. The location is fabulous, in the quiet part of Volterra and all within walking distance to all attractions. The hotel staff were all very friendly, including the cleaning lady who gave me the history of the hotel (it used to be a convent). Fascinating place!
Good location close to Volterra with very nice typical Tuscany views. Clean, well equipped and maintained property, comfortable and quiet. Guests are invited to pick up fruits for themselves from the many trees (figs, apples, pears, plums etc). Beautiful pool kept clean at all times.
Inge met us and showed us the property. She also illustrated the facilities and tourist attractions in town. She introduced the Volterra card and told us how to buy it. The room book has QR codes that facilitate doing everything.
We absolutely loved the property. After a few weeks in loud cities, this was a gods send. The property is only a short drive from Volterra, and makes a perfect base of operations if you are exploring Tuscany.
The location was perfect in the city centre of Volterra. you can walk to all the highlights of the city. Breakfast was very good and was served on the hotelroom. Super friendly hotel staff.
Nice Tuscan willa/hotel for people who want quiet and relaxing stay with beautiful views. Close to the hotel are two beautiful old cities Volterra and San Gimingiano.
It was great. Friendly staff in Hotel and Restaurant, it was clean. Breakfast was typical Italien.
Restaurant was very very good.

A brilliant family business in the beautiful Volterra. A great view and, perhaps one of the best breakfasts in Tuscany, with local dishes home baked by Luca’s wife.
