Clearly a nice new hotel in the area- next to the rest area. It is a quiet one with a lot of local vegetables etc. Not a lot of dining in the area and I mean Iga. Eat somewhere else or know something I don’t know before coming in to sleep. Laundry and everything in the hotel was good. If I had had more energy I would have figured out an outside food and onsen before coming here to sleep. Was a good base for uji and Wazuka. Little expensive considering the location and lack of food/onsen.

The hosts were super nice! They were welcoming, friendly and they really made us feel at home :D They also gave us recommendations of things to visit and do in the area, which was very helpful because we were a little bit soon for the momiji peak.
The guesthouse is a lovely and authentic traditional house in the countryside, near Wazuka tea fields and Gansenji Hydrangea temple. The pets (two cats and two goats) are super cute!
The breakfast was amazing and perfect for a day of tourism! It was healthy, organic and it gave us a lot of energy!
They organise events from time to time so we would love to come back soon!! :D

For a love hotel, the aesthetic is not too sketchy. it felt pretty equatorial. I like that I could have a drink brought up to my room 24/7. The staff is friendly (at least the one I met). The sound isolation is decent, I only heard cleaning noise in the near room in the morning, though I'm unsure if I had neighbors. The room is spacious and the ceiling high. It's a change from usual Japanese hotel rooms. I appreciate the wooden vibes. The AC is strong so the room cools down and warms up pretty fast. Amazing black out windows at night. No bad smell. a little Jacuzzi. I recommend if you have hard time dealing with tiny hotel rooms in Japan and don't mind taking taking back and forth.
