Unfortunately I was thinking of another hotel when I did my initial review so I badly underscored this hotel. My apologies to Hotel GrandBach - it is an outstanding hotel worthy of a 10 and not the 7 I gave it. Beautiful hotel, modern, clean, wonderful atmosphere, great facilities, amazing onsen, live music, free snacks and beverages in the lounge, friendly and helpful staff, easy location - I can’t commend it more.

Sendai is known as the City of Trees - and for good reason.
Sendai is known as the City of Trees - and for good reason. There's an insane amount of massively large and tall cedar trees everywhere! It's a very easily walkable city and if you need to go to parts beyond there's great transport links, either via the metro, overland train (JR), trams, or even the Sendai City Loople Bus - which takes you around to about a half dozen major attractions - think hop on / hop off.
Must see spots in Sendai are Rinnouji Temple, Zuihoden Mausoleum, Sendai Castle (Aoba Castle), and a little further out of the city (about an hour by train) is Yamadera Temple - not to be missed!
The city is centred around the massive train station in the centre of town and it does not disappoint. There's floors of shopping, restaurants, groceries, fancy food vendors, anything you could want. If you can't find anything in the labyrinthian corridors of the station, venture outside to the over 2500 restaurants and bars. I challenge you to not find something - anything - to satiate yourself with.

I absolutely adored Sendai and will visit again!
I absolutely adored Sendai and will visit again! The only problem that we had was the heat and humidity during the middle of September limited what we could do, but we made the most of our time at the Sendai train station-shopping!, the trees in the area were beautiful (I can see why they call it city of trees), we road the buses quite a bit (air conditioning) so we got to see quite a bit of the city, and made the most of the mall that was near the train station. Felt VERY SAFE there, the only con that I could say would be that unlike Tokyo, there were not to many people who spoke English but we expected that because our daughter works there, however she did most of the translating and figuring out the yen to buy things was actually quite easy, except for the coins. Navigating the trains was pretty easy, the people there knew some english and were quite helpful. It was a wonderful place to do it, very pretty and we will go again next year.

Tanebata is very nice to visit.
Castle was in our opinion not very interesting, Zui hoden is really worth a visit.
Beef tongue is a delicious dish!
Sendai is very good to visit Mashushima bay, and that is really a wonderful place to go
Relaxing atmosphere and comfortable room. The desk for working with computer is spacious. The bathtub is larger than usual compared to other Japanese hotels.
Breakfast is ok. Wide type of amenities, and iron for free. Highly qualified staff.
Tenza Hotel is near the main train station of Sendai and also a subway stop. Perfect location for both a business trip or tourism. Very well connected to Tohoku University by subway. Many restaurants nearby, including one in the hotel.
The service of the staff is very welcoming. They proactively provided assistance to me while doing self checkin using the machine. There is a wide selection of amenities that guests can take freely in the lobby. The room was tidy and everything looked like in a good condition. Besides, the hotel is situated in a very accessible area where you can go to restaurants, Sendai main station, drugstores and even the traditional market very easily.
Near train station , evening you can have free hot+cold drink with mochi, night time enjoy free light meal,
Good onsen, good breakfast , theming of Bach is very impressive giant pipe organ and piano there's Bach music playing on the speakers at a quiet level throughout station, enjoy lots of musical notation adorning the walls. 711 is on the ground floor.
I love this hotel!
Room was pretty spacious and very clean. Also liked that they provided a lot of amenities (makeup remover, facial wash, lotion, etc.)
Location was a bit far from Sendai station but it wasn't that big of an issue for us since we could explore the shopping streets every time we're heading back to the hotel.
The hotel is near to Sendai train station. Easy walking distance there.
The 'onsen' in the hotal is great and I enjoyed it very much.
The breakfast is decent based on the price
Overall, a good hotel to stay to explore Sendai
I stayed here for 1 night for the first time.
Impressed with the clean, spacious, and more modern rooms than other Japanese-style.
Near Sendai Station.
Next time I come to Sendai, I won't miss staying at this hotel again.
A beautiful hot spring spa hotel nestled in the mountains outside of Sendai. A Lovely staff, amazing food, and a well appointed hotel. The main Onsen was lovely, and the the food and beverages were of the highest quality.
The room is big and very clean. Love the bathroom because it’s very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is a must try. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Location is great because it is in Sendai station.
We enjoyed the 2 nights and 2 days in Sendai also thanks thanks to the reasonably priced KOKO Hotel. Light colors used throughout calms. Easy in-out. Convenient location for everywhere.
Nice reasonable place to stay in Sendai city. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I stayed during the Sendai Tanabatta festival and the hotel was very near the festival location!
It’s very very near to the West exit of JR Sendai station and with a subway(tozai/namboku) exit nearby. The hotel is quite new too and the room is big for a single stay.
