Historically and culturally rich Kaunas is surrounded by lush forests and waterways. It is home to an array of churches, museums and a charming Old Town consisting of diverse architecture and locally famous landmarks.

Només hem visitat el centre històric, que és molt bonic i...
Només hem visitat el centre històric, que és molt bonic i ben conservat, malauradament no el pots apreciar be perquè tot ell està ple de restaurants amb terrasses al carrer i para-sols o carpes que ho tapen tot. La zona del castell és molt agradable, convida a passejar-hi. Imprescindible visitar el Monastir de Pažaislis i els seus voltants, a pocs km en cotxe de Kaunas. Vam estar 3 nits perquè està més centrat que Vilnius i permet fer visites a altres indrets del país més còmodament.

Estan preparant la ciutat perquè sigui la Capital de la cultura europea a l'any 2022. Si busques pots trobar petits restaurants de cuina tradicional. Des d'allà pots anar a la capital Vilnius que és molt imponent i a pocs kilòmetres tens Trakai que és super maco amb el seu llac i les seves cases tradicionals. També estàs més a la vora d'altres zones com la costa bàltica per veure Palanca i Klaipeda. Visitar la vall de les creus.
