A great place to stay in Saldus.
The apartment is clean, warm, has everything you need for a short stay. 5 minutes walk to super market, cafes, city market square. (I managed to be at the night market - on Friday evening. This does not happen regularly.)
Host is very responsive, kind. I recommend!

Friendly host, and a wonderful place to stay. Super 🙂
Saldus was first mentioned in 1253
From 1562 to 1795, the Saldus region was part of the Duchy of Kurzeme and Zemgale.
The original name "Salden" was replaced by the German "Frauenburg" for almost four centuries. The name of Frauenburg is more associated with the former castle of the Order, which was located on the left bank of the stream flowing into Ciecere.
Like the whole of Kurzeme, the Saldus region became part of the Russian Empire in 1795. Administratively, the Saldus region was part of the Kurzeme governorate during the tsar's time.
After the independence of Latvia, there was a boom in the economic and cultural life of Saldus.

A very spacious small town with a nice lake and green parks. Surrounded with some very great towns/cities and very well located. A real pleasure and relaxing town to stay. Limited knowledge of English in most places but managed in one way or another.

We received entry code by a text and had no issues to enter on our own. We did not meet anyone in the hotel during our stay. Car parking is just right in front on a busy street, but there's a large parking space in the inner yard.
Great location in the city center. There was a problem with our room at first and there was no staff at the hotel but we managed to get a new room really easily by calling the customer service.
We have more than 70 million property reviews, and they're all from real, verified guests.
