It was very disappointing. The trouser at dinner policy was restrictive and unforseen. It made the stay very limited. They advertised activities for children but then didn't do any. Staff knew very little about most things

Flic and Flac has a great beach and lots of good restaurants. It is very lively, particularly on a Saturday and Sunday. The restaurants that we enjoyed were Chutneys, Sunset Garden, Mosaic and a Thai restaurant that was a little further out in Tamarin called Ousaporn. Lovely garden settings in both Sunset Gardens and Ousaporn. I recommend hiring a car. The Black River Gorge is stunning. The views of the gorge, waterfalls and to the bays are outstanding.

A delightful place to stay, plenty of restaurant to choose from. Lots of shops and everything available. Easy transport available. Other parts of the country can be visited without any problems. Near by Casela,, domain Anna and all the beaches were accessible. Lovely restaurant like Bougainville, Zoub Express, Ah youn, Chez PEPE and others are very pleasant. Street foods were also safe and tasty.

Being on the west coast of the island means that it isn't as...

Being on the west coast of the island means that it isn't as windy as the east coast or as wet i.e. rainy. The beach is sheltered by a coral reef; as are many of the beaches on Mauritius but there are also resident pods of bottlenose and spinner dolphins off of the west coast of the island. The boat trips to swim with dolphins and also visit the island on the SW coast of Mauritius go from Flic-en-Flac beach so cost a lot less than from other parts of the island - worth visiting more than one tour operator to get the best price. Flic-en-Flac is not too far from the airport and being about half way up it is easy to get to most parts of the island in a day to see things. Lots of restaurants to choose from too.

There are many wonderful places to dine around Flic en Flac...

There are many wonderful places to dine around Flic en Flac with restaurants to cater to everyone's tastes. There is a big supermarket, some bars and on weekends the place is livelier with music and sega shows. (not to be missed) The beach is clean and the lagoon is clear and safe to swim. Sand is clean and there are Filao trees to keep you in the shade. The water is warm throughout the day. There is a big shopping mall 10 mins away where you have modern shops, bowling alley, clubs, food places including Mcdonalds and KFC. The local cuisine is so good so we tried to eat local whenever possible. We went to Grand Baie which is very nice too but we preferred the charm of Flic en Flac and Flic en Flac was more relaxing.

They have a problem with people parking in the beach car...

They have a problem with people parking in the beach car park opposite the appartment and playing window rattling music till all hours ie 3 to 4 am . I had to ring the police a few times but it did no use . There is a big billboard in the carpark advising of a 10,000mru fine if caught but it had no effect . They parked next to it . Some locals decided to tell them off one night at 3am and the result wes that there was an all in brawl in the street under the appartment window and someone was critically stabbed and put in hospital . And I won`t even bother with the nightclub next door that goes till the same hours !

The best decision we have made regarding the trip to Mauritius has been to stay in this apartment. Not only for the comforts it offers, since nothing is missing and you feel at home, but also for the kindness of Johanna, who took time to explain the surroundings and much more to us. She is an incredible woman!! The apartment is in great condition, practically new and very well located. Only 2 min from the beach and with many restaurants around. We are going to miss the breakfasts on that beautiful terrace and the baths in that beautiful pool.

The apartment is very clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious and in a great location steps from the beach and walking distance to many restaurants and supermarket. The host Mitra is absolutely fantastic! She was so friendly and extremely helpful and communicative. She had great recommendations and helped me tremendously in planning my time in Mauritius, from suggesting great hikes and day trips and arranging transportation for me. She was simply amazing and really made my time in Mauritius special!

Amazing experience and a wonderful apartment. Strongly recommended to visit when in Mauritius. Really liked the self checkin feature with everything so well organised. The flat had almost every utility item one can use. Apartment was very clean, with good fragrance all over. Amazing view from the balconies. The host was very helpful and always available for contact. Give no second thoughts before booking Sandstone Apartment.

The waiters in the buffet restaurant were really kind and are the only reason why our stay was an enjoyable and pleasant one. They always greeted us with a smile upon walking into the restaurant and even if they saw us around the hotel! The dinning area was clean and very spacious. We also enjoyed dessert. Loved the short walk to the beach.

Great location in Mauritius, close to the Ocean, about 15 min on foot. Apartment itself is very cosy with nice terrace, comfortable to stay for a longer time with everything that is needed. Really great host, we’ve stayed few days during cyclone, we’ve been informed with relevant information during that time and have not been left alone.

The sea in front of the property offered us the best snorkelling experience in Mauritius, even better than Le Morne and Blue Bay (where we also snorkelled). The breakfast was lovely and the property very clean throughout. The Front of House girl, Pariksha is a sweetheart; she’s funny and has great hospitality and communication skills :)
