Mersing is not a town to visit. It is simply the starting point to get to Tioman island and other islands.Do Not stay in the town….it is run down with nothing to do.I stayed at the best hotel and it was disgusting…..see my trip advisor review under Blighty.

The main reason to stay in Mersing is to catch the ferry to Tioman Island the next day. For a couple fo hours there's are enough possibilites to have a snack or a meal, get money from an ATM (you'll need cash on Tioman) and do last minute shopping.

A small fishing village where you can easily access by foot to the local foods, nearby beaches, river, etc.
We have also visited the Bt Selantai, Pulau Mawar, The Green Lake, by hired private cars.
A must try roti bakar & their nasik dagang is a bonus !
The fried carrot cake & noodles is fanstastic with reasonable price.

Mersing is a good town by itself.
Mersing is a good town by itself. Town that use by traveler to stop by especially for those going for fishing trip or going to Tioman Island.
No much sea food served by the shop, since the place is popular for deep sea fishermen.
Should promote more of eating outlet for sea food favourite.

It is a typical small Malaysian seaside town.
It is a typical small Malaysian seaside town. Clean and quaint with a wide variety of cafes, restaurants and other eateries. The beaches are clean and the cost of accommodations is reasonable. A nice place to rest and relax. The seafood is fresh and delicious and do Google for place to eat. I worked of an internet list and was surprised at the accuracy of the reviews. Reasonably priced delicious meals are to be had here.

Hotel was the worst hotel i stayed before.
Hotel was the worst hotel i stayed before. Hotel Manager Mr Ben was totally arrogant and not open to any feedback. I am not sure about other hotels, but definetely Bayu Lestarinis a disaster. I saw many European people were complaining but hotel manager does not care
The concept/ materials Unique. Can accommodate 4 pax. The owner is very helpful. Near Pantai Air Papan for picnic.
This chalet has many plugs points. Every wall you can charge your phone.
But please keep your shoes inside, because the dogs will take your shoes and bring them away.🤣🤣 my experience. When I wake up in the morning, 3 pairs of my family shoes are gone. The dog took it. Hahaha. I round the chalet compound and found the shoes. Soft remind ! Beware of this dog. Overall, I love this Chalet Warna. Next time, I will repeat .
The location of the hotel makes it perfect if you have an early ferry to Tioman. There are lots of restaurants/options to eat very close as well as supermarkets. The check in was excellent and the gentleman at reception was efficient and very friendly. When the lights refused to work in our room, he came straight away and sorted the problem immediately. We needed 2 rooms for the night and to be able to sleep before the ferry. We got what we paid for. The price is reasonable.
Location is 3 min walk to the sea. The house is new (new fittings / toiets) and is part of a development of several new houses. House is roomy and well ventilated with may ceiling fans. Easy access to main road and road access along beach front where many local recommended eateries like UCU (great for lunch), Brother Joe (Ikan Bakar by the beach)
Exceed my expectation. It was a huge clean house. Spacious room, clean and neat property. Near to all lots of eatery, bus station and Jetty point. Very friendly and helpful owner. Will definitely stay here if I were to go Mersing again. Definitely top pick.
1) Location is very strategic. Very close to Mersing Jetty. Very close to Pantai Bandar Mersing with beautiful beach. Nearby with restaurant & mini market.
2) Price is reasonable.
3) The hotel provide free transport to Mersing Jetty.
This hotel not connected with booking.com anymore.. i asked hotel during check in, they said no booking under my name plus they're not woth booking.com anymore . Please book other hotel or other apps.. sorry for my english :)
The hotel was a good solution just to spend a night before taking a ferry.
Short, 5-minute drive, to the Mersing ferry terminal.
Huge free parking.
Decent and free wi-fi.
AC and ceiling fan.
Great location. Yummy prata stall right next to hotel. Basic facilities, good enough for a nights rest. Beds are comfortable. Cleanliness is acceptable. Will stay again if heading that area
This is absolutely the best homestay in Mersing. My family and I don't want to stay anywhere else. The property is immaculate. Communication is outstanding. The location is perfect.
Super value and very functional. The room was fairly large and worked fine. The AC worked. Close to the bus station and walking distance to town, beach and ferries.
Everything was fine. Comfortable for a budget hotel while we were transiting to island on the next day. The wifi was strong enough eventhough we were on top floor.
