The staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel was clean and breakfast was very good with a variety of choices to suit all tastes. We liked the ‘go green’ option of opting out of having the room serviced and being rewarded with a free drink from the bar.

This is a beautiful hotel. Parking right outside the hotel, very easy to get to. Staff were lovely. Good sized rooms, loo was separate from the shower - bonus whether sharing with a friend or partner.
Very well equipped, comfortable beds, selection of pillows. Great location, a few minutes from the centre of Utrecht and the main rail station. 25 mins into Amsterdam. Utrecht and its canals are far calmer than Amsterdam. Lovely bars and quaint shops.

Quiet, no noise from outside. Might be that I was at the back. There was a busy road at the front, so couldn't comment on that side of the hotel.

Room and bathroom were modern, looked like recently refurbished. Nespresso coffee machine and kettle in the room; windows had good noise protection; location just at the edge of the inner city centre, very close to the cathedral and the dome tower.

A vibrant yet chilled out place to visit.
A vibrant yet chilled out place to visit. Loved all the cafe and bars and small streets where you can meander and wander in and out of lovely shops. Some of our party went to the top of the bell tower, quite hard going but amazing views. We also visited the Roman ruins under the tower, very interesting and good fun. Also spent a leisurely hour and a half on a a canal river trip, highly recommended! Went to several restaurants, great, reasonably priced food and far too much good wine and beer. Would visit again in a heartbeat!

Really lovely place, have been here several times and love it more each visit. There's lots to see and places to eat and watch the world go by. As it has a University there are lots of students around which adds to its vibrancy. It's a strange mix of busy and quiet in parallel. Watch out for the bikes as you're in the Netherlands, this took a little getting used to but it does mean there are not so many cars which is lovely. Absolutely recommend a visit!

I am in love with this city.
I am in love with this city. Utrecht is a reduced and improved Amsterdam. A very romantic and charming city with canals, parks, narrow streets, neat houses and various entertainments. It reminds me of a model of a puppet city. Everything is clean and tidy, people are smiling, calm and friendly. It's not a small town, but the central part can be explored on foot and the more remote parts by bike or car. There are plenty of places to picnic and walk around and it's only 30 minutes from the bustel of Amsterdam.
Convenient location at a 25-min walk from the Domplein, 15-min walk from the Utrecht Centraal.
The hotel is very quite and the neighborhood is relatively quiet, a park is close to the property.
Affordable price compared with other hotels at a similar distance from the city center.
Very simple furniture, but there is a table that can be used as a desk and the chair is comfortable. The double bed is comfy. Check-in and check-out were easy and fast. A kettle and a multisocket plug adaptor were provided. The room was properly lighted.
- Excellent location, easily accessible by transit, in walking/biking distance to everything you might want to do in central Utrecht. Lots of great restaurants nearby.
- Superb breakfast in the fancy restaurant attached to the hotel. Keep in mind it's not a buffet, you have to order from a menu, but that only makes it feel more fancy.
- Convinent bike rental
- Easy to get in late using the keycard without having to bother anyone to open the door
- Very comfy bed
- Fantastic service, both in the reception and at the restaurant.
The breakfast spread was amazing and the staff were very attentive. Also the location was right next to the train station which made in convenient to go to Pisa and Amerstadam. The hotel was uniquely located in a shopping mall and over a canal but that made it fun too. It was very modern and the room was large, modern and comfortable. Our adult kids were in the room next door. Would definitely come back to the hotel if I’m Utrecht again also Utrecht is such a lovely city.
Step out of the hotel and you are surrounded by the streets, shops and cafes of Utrecht. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very smart and comfortable and everywhere was beautifully clean. The curtains are the best anywhere for blocking out light so you sleep well. The room was quiet because we were at the back (this did mean no view but was ok as we were just staying overnight). I really wish I could have stayed longer.
The hotel is located in a historic house in the Museum neighbourhood of Utrecht, the southern part of the old city centre. Rooms are nicely decorated in traditional Dutch style with high ceilings and big windows. Breakfast is served directly in the room. The hotel has a nice view on the main canal in Utrecht and it is at walking distance from all attractions. There is also a parking not far from the hotel if you are coming by car.
Service in the reception was really really nice. Hotel has an unique vibe and style. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. Location may be a plus if you think of proximity to the center of Utrecht and all the attractions. In that sense the location is absolutely perfect because the hotel is exactly in the city center and only 10 minutes by feet from train station. The beds are also very comfortable and big.
It’s bright, clean, a bit quirky and has a personality unlike other modern sterile hotels. Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s walking distance to the centre of Utrecht. Bedroom size is good. Can hire bicycles in the hotel. Good idea to book in advance. Breakfast is good. Have stayed in Eye Hotel three times over the last few years. Will be staying again.
The hotel is located very centrally, and the paid parking on the the premises was very convenient, if there still is a spot. Staff was friendly, room was squeaky clean and comfortable enough to work or chill in. View over the train station and city centre was a nice little bonus. Breakfast was very decent. Would book again.
Even though the rooms had the standard hotel layout and size, they were very well decorated which made them feel luxurious. The breakfast area was spacious and nice to sit in too. The coffee machines work all day and at night too so you can count on a drink whenever you want. The location is great, in central Utrecht.
Fabulous hotel in the centre of Utrecht. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room itself was gorgeous and spacious, with high ceilings and a beautiful bathtub. A very unique decoration style that is a welcome change from the standard boring white hotel rooms.
A lovely place for a romantic evening.
Location was great, just one tram stop from the main train station and a short walk by the canal to reach the centre. Calm place with a nice space outside and friendly staff!
You have a supermarket almost in front of the hotel (in the train station) and the University is also near (4 tram stops).
Ted was so smiley and very very sweet. He kept regarding me by my name and I found it endearing( maybe it's unusual for him?? Dunno) The breakfast was very nice and the overall vibe of the hotel and him was 10/10 If I come to Utrecht again I'm definitely staying there again if possible
Clean room and bathroom. Bathroom with shower and bathtub. minimalist style. 4-minute walk to the train station (Utrecht Central) and shopping centre. 8-minute walk to Beatrix Theatre. 10/15-minute walk to the city centre.
Clean room, generally good hotel conveniently located right next to the central train station and close to a mall, not far from the city centre. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with a lot of choices.
Very nice hotel in a renovated historical religious building
Room was quiet with a separated living room
Breakfast was very good
Location is convenient, not so far from Utrecht railway station and the city center
The room size and area were excellent. We were in Utrecht for a week and being in a tiny hotel would have been miserable. This place really felt like home. It was nice to be able to do some cooking at home as well.
