The place was charming. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The room was a cute little tack room that was very romantic and it even included a nice breakfast. Loved it all. Would love to go back!

The cozy stone cottage is a perfect for a short term stay. For more than one or two nights it would be harder because it lacks a proper kitchen. That said, the hosts have provided microwave, fridge, small cookware, wine glasses(you are in wine country) and a good assortment of dishes. There is a BBQ outside. Internet and TV. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom quite large for the size of the cottage. Outside there is a small table and chairs for two with a serene garden view. It is a quick walk into the center of old Clyde with its cycle shops, restaurants, and charm.
Jenny the host and owner is a delight and will do her best to take care of all your needs

In Clyde, I was looking for a quiet-ish place with a bit of activity around, so I could do some work without distractions, but feel not too distant from other people. Clyde exceeded my expectations!
What I liked - there's such a variety of things around - a beautiful historic town centre with a few cafes and restaurants. Even a cinema. There's wine stuff nearby for those who are into that (I'm not into that personally). And there are a few walking tracks - I did part of the Cairnmuir Hill Track, which offered beautiful landscapes and stunning views of the surrounding areas.
I also really enjoyed looking at the nearby Hydro dam.

Great place to visit and the Start of the Lake Dunstan Cycle Trail. Cyclists are well catered for and at the end of the day there are a number of cafes, and a couple of excellent restaurants. .. just need to book.
Very enjoyable small Central Otago town full of heritage buildings and beside the river - a great place to explore.

We stayed in Clyde as we were doing a one day bike ride along the Otago Rail Trail. Easy access to the Bike Rental and as we returned to the Clyde station it was perfect for us. Trail Journeys fit us for our bikes, drove us out to Auripo and sent us on our way. Great 61km ride!!!! Coffee at Lauder :) Beer and a Cheese Roll at Chatto Cool. :) We ate both nights at Paulina's Restaurant. Excellent food. The Lamb rump and Seafood paella were delicious. Definitely stay in Clyde and use Trail Journeys!

There is so much to do with the Otago Rail Trail, and other trips available. Boat access to Lake Dunstan, swimming in summer, good camping ground by the lake. Short drive to Alexandra for some retail therapy. Also a good golf course, dog park if you should have your best friend with you. Several good eating places such as Paulinas, the Old Post Office Cafe, and if you just want takeaways the Village Cafe and takeaways are the place to go. Also good value is Orchard Garden Cafe on Dunstan Road. It is a few kilometers out of town but a beautiful setting. The meals are more into the fine dining, but with a medium price tag.
We loved everything about The Prospectors on Miner accommodation. The industrial+modern design, the beautiful outdoor deck, the comfortable beds and beautiful bed linen + wonderful kitchen and bathroom. Everything was exceptionally clean and comfy and brand new. And whilst being located on the owners property it is very private.
I'd say this is the best place to stay in historic Clyde - and a great base to cycle Dunstan Lake, Roxburgh Gorge and the Central Otago rail trail.
This was our 5th stay. We absolutely love this hotel and the special atmosphere it evokes. Each room is different and the decor is stunning. Breakfast is amazing and served in a beautiful setting and included in the rate. The inner courtyard is very private and yet close to the hotel’s restaurant and bar. David and Andy are incredible hosts. Right in the heart of Clyde.
Everything. I travel a lot. There is not a single thing I would recommend to make this a better stay. I almost hate to rate it so highly, as when I want to come back there won’t be an any vacancies! Elaine and the property were fantastic. Stayed twice, at the beginning and the end of an out and back bike ride on the Otago Rail Trail from Clyde to Middlemarch.
This is a gorgeous property, beautifully decorated inside and the garden is very peaceful. The spa is an added bonus! Louise and Lilly gave us a very warm welcome and had thought of everything, from a delicious cheese platter to a big bowl of fresh fruit salad for breakfast. Absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Clyde.
Lovely little cottage within easy walking distance to Clyde village and cafes. Jen is a great host and communication was excellent. She recommended the PostOffice Cafe for dinner and it was a great meal. As per listing cooking is limited but the little kitchenette works well.
The setting of a beautiful old building in the middle of Clyde was perfect, the rooms and beds were comfortable. It was great having the suite of rooms for our adult kids in the next 2 rooms to come and sit too. The verandah was lovely for relaxing. Good breakfast too.
I would highly recommend staying here, exceptionally clean! Very friendly, everything you need is provided, beds are comfortable central location we walked everywhere in clyde, they even provided a small speaker for music, amazing they have thought of everything!
Location of the Lord Clyde is second to none. I love the mood of the hotel with a guest lounge and courtyard. Fantastic to be able to BYO alcohol and snacks and enjoy them in the courtyard/lounge. Mini fridges upstairs and coffee/tea stations excellent.
Clyde on Naylor is right in the heart of Clyde. It is small but very comfortable, has everything you need for a short stay and is good value for this location. The little outdoor area is shady on a hot day and great being able to park off the street.
Staying in a historic cottage was an added bonus during our stay in Clyde.
Thank.you for the fruit and snacks in the fridge on arrival.
The later check out time of 11am was appreciated also.
The cottage was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented, and it had everything you could possibly need. Tricia and Ben are lovely and I’ll definitely try to re-book next time I visit Clyde.
Hosts were lovely and accommodating.
Very beautiful outlook from room. We had everything we needed in the room for our stay.
Nice to stay in a part of the historic walk of Clyde.
