Jennie is a fabulous host- friendly & very helpful. The studio is absolutely beautiful, so tastefully decorated, modern, immaculately clean & comfortable particularly the bed. It is in a great location with an easy walk to the beach, restaurants & supermarket. I highly recommend staying, it was perfect & we would love to stay again.

Check in was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The 2bdrm apartments were very spacious and great for a family of five and allowed us to have friends visit with lots of space.
The pool was warm enough for a swim at the end of April and the BBQ facilities were great.

Fantastic views from a high vantage point in the Papamoa hills. Great place to stay for a single traveler like me that is working in the area and just needs a comfortable place to stay for a few nights. Very quiet and safe. Large separate bathroom and comfy bed.

The host was lovely, and only saw briefly on arrival. It looked homely and cosy, and the lounge couches were comfortable, and most things we needed were available. Enough hot water for all of us for showering and lots of towels available.

Papamoa is probably best known for its white sand beach, which stretches for several kilometres. It is very accessible, as there are walkways between houses at frequent intervals allowing pedestrian acces from the two streets running parallel to the beach. Papamoa has a modern mall and several shopping centres, offering a variety of dining experiences and convenience foods. A highway system allows access to Mt Maunganui and Tauranga, about a half hour's drive away. The only downside for me is the traffic navigation - the highway system is very busy and clogs up quickly during peak traffic times, and some of the surrounding roads have some pretty unfriendly roundabouts with speed humps and traffic lights added, sensory overload for a driver unfamiliar with the area.

Papamoa is a very laid back and peaceful place to visit. Everything you need is right on the doorstep and really great to visit a beach that isn't crowded. Everyone you meet while walking along the beach are friendly (including the dogs) and it's a lovely place to relax and be at one with nature.

Papamoa is ideally situated close to Mt Maunganui yet far away enough to retain a sense of peace. It's also within an hour's drive of beautiful Ohope Beach &, to the north, Waihi Beach, both of which are well worth visiting (especially Ohope Beach & Whaktane).
