Beverly was a wonderful host - super friendly & helpful. The facilities were exactly as advertised & to a very high standard, with several different areas to relax. Beverly had thought of everything & added lovely little touches. The accommodation was less than 5 minutes walk from town & had a nice view of the water.

An absolutely beautiful haven. Cabins are so well fitted out, and the whole site is very classy.
Heated floors in the bathroom are amazing.
The cedar hot tub (with a cold beer) is not to be missed.
Pauanui Pines Motor Lodge is just 100 metres from the Village Shopping Centre. It offers an outdoor pool, barbecue facilities and a tennis court. Free parking is provided on-site.

The location was great and easy to access the beach. Our weekend weather however was not helpful as it rained most of the time we were there. The home was tidy and provided all the required needs for us. Would gladly stay here again
You can walk to Cathedral Cove from Hahei Beach Resort, follow the beach and connect to the Cathedral Cove walkway (the walk takes about 1 hour each way).

Lovely laid-back and friendly little town in fantastic location and with great amenities. It’s got everything you need - shops, choice of places to eat and drink, lovely estuary with beaches for swimming when tide is in, and a great ocean surfing beach. Got a great little art gallery well worth a visit, and very helpful tourist info next door to library. Boat trips, including to Cathedral Cove direct from town - and lots of great beaches and other places visit just a short drive away. We loved Sailors Grave beach just 10 minutes drive.

Loved the relaxed atmosphere.
Loved the relaxed atmosphere. My father in law(1902-1997) used to say that Tairua never knew the Depression was on, meaning life went on as usual, plenty of seafood to eat etc. it had the same feel today.

Tairua is in a beautiful setting within easy reach of Hot water Beach, Hahei beach, Cathedral Cove and Cook’s beach which is a lovely safe bathing beach. Don’t miss Shakespeare Cliff for spectacular views over Cook’s beach and Whitianga. Take the little 5 minute passenger ferry from Ferry Landing over to Whitianga for a nice lunch spot.

Tairua is a great gateway town to the Coromandel but also perfect to stay just in Tairua, plenty to do: surfing, walking (beach & bush), climb Mt Paku, wonder around the estuary, go paddleboarding or kayaking.... or just relax. It's a lovely low key place....makes you relax

Tairua was a friendly coastal town with a small population, yet had all the things a traveller requires. Things such as a swimming beach, boat ramps, fishing opportunities . A number of fast food outlets(Thai take away, local bakery , hotel, wine shop and a well stocked Four Square store. ) Thoroughly enjoyed the vibe of this small town
We had such an amazing stay and holiday! The location was stunning with views over the ocean and just a 10-15min walk to the beach via a beautiful ocean walkway (gravel path). The accommodation was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our summer stay. Also Alan was a very gracious host and helped us out when there was an error with our booking. Thank you very much for the stay and highly recommend! We hope to return sometime!
Absolutely loved my stay. My room had seperate kitchen and my bed looked directly out to the water. There were two wonderful outdoor areas with ample seating. It felt private and yet also really accessible to our park outside which was fantastic since i was alone with a new born.
Was a great get away to ourselves to rejuvenate (and have a small holiday from rest of noisey family at home).
Super clean and recently renovated.
My husband and I loved The Boat House! What a setting in the beautiful little town of Tairua. This is a large spacious guest house, with a balcony with an excellent ocean view. Tastefully, and very nicely furnished with everything we needed. Our only complaint is that we only planned one night to stay in Tairua. We would’ve loved to spend the week there! Our host Bev was so nice, and very accommodating.
Fantail was stunning. Spectacular views. Extremely comfortable bed, excellent shower & bathroom. Very well appointed studio. Klaas is the ultimate host & we shared wonderful conversation. He kindly took us down to Tairua Beach Club for dinner & picked us up once we’d finished. Loved this service!! He also cooked us a delicious substantial breakfast. Tairua is a hidden gem!!
Maria’s property offers 5 star luxury and a true sense of a warm , welcoming and serene home away from home. The home is beautifully furnished has absolutely everything you could need. The view out over the water is beautiful, especially at sunset or dawn.
Great views out to islands, and over to Pauanui. Instructions to get there were great. Friendly owner and great communication, instructions. Comfortable lounge and big bedroom. Kitchen well stocked with plates cutlery, and big fridge freezer.
We loved everything about Tairua Treasure! The views are to die for, and ‘ everything’ and I mean ‘ everything’ required in a holiday home was provided. We all agreed! We also loved Steven Seagull (Seagal) who was a the cutest!
Amazing location. Quaint bach with a lovely window seat to enjoy the spectacular views. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and didn’t miss the TV at all. Watching cavorting tuis come and go was far more entertaining.
Big deck, comfortable rooms, lots of amenities available to guests and well laid out. Great to be able to do laundry free of charge as we are on a month long holiday travelling about NZ.

Concern, the proprietor rang us to let us know that the bridge to Tairua would be closed at 8pm - we were not aware of this and we’re running late.
Location was great.
Room was spotless & lovely and warm.
Staff/owners were welcoming and friendly and proactively asked if we had visited Tairua before and offered ideas.
nice and well-equipped unit in pretty Tairua. great on-site manager. fast wifi. great free parking. kitchenette with full fridge. comfy bed. nice private patio.
