I stayed at mamacitas 3 times (lack of room, coming back to the island). All 3 times have been great! Here u meet the friendliest, most helpful receptionist! Nothing was a problem, super serviceminded! Available around the clock. I got insured, and all of the staff did their best to help.
Really clean, and the best location.

I believe that the property is being converted from a campground to a luxury accommodation. The landscaping was lovely and the views fantastic. However, the cabin we stayed in was ridiculously tiny. it was impossible for 2 people , one could sit on the bed, and the other on the toilet. we had to climb over each other to get in and out of bed.
There was absolutely no place to put anything. no hooks, no shelves, no rods, no lines. Had it not occured to the owners that travelers would have luggage? we only had carry on but it took up any space in the cabin.
We would have loved to sit outside, but it was extremely hot. we had no umbrella as some other cabins did. In the afternoon evening it was very cold and windy. Thank heavens I had my winter coat. Thank heavens too for the communal kitchen (a leftover from the camping site?)
Most of all, this property was absurdly overpriced at approximately $180 a night. I paid the same amount for beautiful apartments and houses on Culebra with multiple bedrooms, full kitchens, etc., specifically the Pastel House and WInd and Sea.
A warning to any potential customers. This property is exceedingly poor value!!!

The room was sparkling clean! The host “Ivette” was great and prompt to answer any question.
Beautiful view!!!
Just a little far from city and beaches. Not walking distance but for the price, you can’t ask for more…
No elevator, so don’t bring heavy luggage.
It would be great if the room was a little darker to sleep…

The place is comfortable and cozy for 2 people. Everything was very clean and Nina (the host) was very helpful. She serves food next door, so you will not have to go far for dinner.

Make sure you don’t come if you’re in the rainy time April starts to get more rain. And try out the food throughout the town because it is wonderful and so many beautiful beaches rent something that has a real motor like a side-by-side cause some of the heels are steep.

Culebra has beautiful beaches accessible thru golf carts, jeep rentals or taxi to main beach, Flamenco beach. We traveled the end of November and rip current level was extremely high! Restaurants open around 4 pm, bakeries open early with long lines. Small convenience stores have plenty of food to take and eat in your room. Our family of 5 enjoyed exploring the many beaches around the island, snorkeling at Punta Soldado and Tamarindo and the views at Culebra. We loved Rolls of Heaven food the best!

WARNING - don't stay at this hotel if you want a clean room and facility. This property has nothing to offer. It's too pricey and they do not offer customer service. Hotel 8 is superior to this property. The furniture is broken and has torn covers; the stair are disgusting and filth everywhere. Don't believe the reviews. I left this property today and so relieved to be out of there. Whew.

Culebra was a beautiful island with a lot of beaches and wildlife to see. We saw horses roaming around, birds, crabs, sea turtles, and countless tropical fish while snorkeling. There were several nice restaurants serving fresh fish and local cuisine and even a taco place! Highly recommend the day trip to Culebrita with Captain Bill on his catamaran with his 2 dogs. He takes you to the island where he provides you snorkeling gear and instructions as to not disturb the reefs. He also provides info on exploring the island of Culebrita which includes a few beaches and an old lighthouse. He provided a beautiful charcuterie for snacks and before we returned to Culebra he prepares an incredible dinner of fresh fish and veggies with rice which you eat on the boat (best meal I had on the trip). The island was an experience you have to see for yourself!
Rooms were just like the picture. Clean and confortable beds. There was hot water, bathroom was clean too and had towels, shampoo and soap for your convenience. Inside the room there is a mini fridge and outside in the common areas there is a coffee maker and microwave which we were able to use. The host was kind enough to give is coffee to brew since the market was closed and even lent us beach towels cause we forgot ours. Overall we loved the place. It was a small, quite and nice hotel close to everything.
The location was very charming, right on the canal with tarpon and iguanas swimming by ... The little hotel is a stone's throw away from the grocery story that is really a well-stocked mercantile, other restaurants, and not to far to walk to the ferry. Mamacitas' staff was warm and gracious. And the only day Mamasitas' restaurant was open we got to taste heavenly food. When you go be sure to ask if the restaurant will be open during your stay! You won't want to eat anywhere else!
Great location in Culebra, about 20 mins walk / 4 mins drive from the Feerh terminal . We enjoyed the nice walk as the weather was pleasant. Nina is a great host and she also has a restaurant on property which serves snacks and some quick fast food. There are beach chairs and towels you can use during your visit. The bedroom has ac and the shower has some hot water issues but the stay was very pleasant.
Our hosts were excellent! They provided us with all the information we needed to know before our stay. They maintain the condo very clean and have all the necessities to be able to cook at home - a big plus when visiting Culebra. The condo had a beautiful balcony view, plenty of room, super comfortable bed and large tv with tons of channels. An overall excellent experience!
Well equipped Kitchen for guests to use. Backyard für sitting/chilling. Good WiFi, Big bathroom. Complementary coffee, soap, Shampoo. Top Snorkeling gear to Rent for 15 Dollars per day. 15-20 min walk to the ferry and Restaurants is OK. Upon Check-In the lady showed us all the important things on a map of the Island, she really took her time.
The location is very central with walking distance to everything. Only a 5-10 min walk from the ferry to the hotel. You'll find everything you need within a 5 min walking distance.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a wonderful bar area in the back along the canal. It is a wonderful spot to relax with a drink or beer.
This is by far the best place on the island. The apartment was clean, fully equipped and with a terrace and a view breathe taking. Close to everything and the owner super friendly and available to answer any questions. Will come back for sure and I would recommend It to everyone.
The hotel was super cute & clean but small, the location was ok not a lot to do within walking distance need a golf cart . The Taco spot across street saved us with food and drinks due to no water in the island
We spent a whole week there, very safe, in the middle off the island, easily accessible with golf cart, very nice staff, quick answer by e-mail if needed… we loved our experience there.
Aleli Cottages are an awesome gem on Culebra island. The views are extraordinary. The bed super comfy. Privacy at all times. And the shower!! We absolutely loved staying here.
