If you go to Fátima you possibly go for the religious reason. You also know what to expect and where to go. Regarding eating out - there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from and the service is quick. Possibly more shops with religious items than any other shops altogether. People are friendly and helpful but not many of them speak English. We came from Porto to Fátima by Uber and it cost us 160 Euros while taxi drivers hunting for us just outside of the airport arrivals offered 250-300 Euros.

The Circuito Circuit was unreliable they said it comes every 30 mins for pick up. We waited 1 hr and 15mins to come but when it did there was no seat available so we walked for 35 mins to go back to top . It would have been nice if all the info on the sites/exhibits was also in English. Sites also lacks directions. You loose time finding your way around the exhibits.

The sanctuary is an amazing experience, especially the candlelight procession Our Lady of Fatima. What was difficult with a wheelchair was getting into the Basilica of the Holy Trinity. Both wheelchair lifts going into the Basilisk were not working so ypu had to pusg a distance and uphill to get into it. Tia Alice restaurant is a must do, just know it’s a very small venue and must have reservations.

I enjoyed walking the 14 stations, it was a beautiful day, very quiet, the walkway pleasantly shaded by trees. Then I visited the Nossa Sehnora da Rosario church, which is very beautiful, has free parking, drinking water, very clean washrooms. Many people were there visiting in the church, on the big plaza, some attended the mass, every few hours is one in different languages, the new church is very modern and spacious, has different rooms in the basement to pray, or you can get even one to one meeting with somebody who listens to your problems and prays with you. Close by is a wax museum, which tells the story of the 3 Shepard children, I thought it was nicely done. If you plan a trip to Portugal is worth including Fatima, even if you are not a religious person, is a lovely place to meditate, and see how people from everywhere, with different religious backgrounds, or atheist can be together in complete peace and respect for each other. What this world should be everywhere….

I was completely captivated by Fatima.
I was completely captivated by Fatima. I though it would only be the shrine, but the village really took me aback.
The village is very well-preserved and nice. Everything is at a nice walking-distance, and there are plenty of things to do. The Via Sacra and monuments leading to the shepherds village is breathtaking. The shepherds village remains as if it had not changed in a whole century, which allows you to get a better a idea of how they lived.
Regarding the main touristic point, the shrine, it was awesome. Huge monumental area, with plenty of opportunities for those seeking for a Mass or the prayer of the Rosary. The capelinha was nice, and the nocturnal Rosary with the Virgin of Fatima, along with all the candles, was awesome.
We planned to stay only one night, but I liked it so much that we booked another night.
Also, the museum in the sanctuary is fantastic, and it only costs 2 euros. Large amounts of worthless pieces of jewelery, including the coronation crown of the Virgin of Fatima with the bullet of Saint John Paul II.

One of the most peaceful and beautiful places in the world.
One of the most peaceful and beautiful places in the world. Highly worth visiting this miraculous shrine where heaven and earth met in 1917 with the famous Fatima apparitions to the 3 little children. Hotels, restaurants, and tours there have all you need for a perfect holiday too if not coming for just a pilgrimage. Have a blessed time in Fatima
If Lucia is around when you check-in then you're in luck because she's this wonder-woman who zips around the hotel and gets stuff done. She was very kind and helpful to us. We had two separate rooms booked and luckily, ours had a great view of the greenery and the hills. The location is great too because it is walking distance from Way of the Cross and The Sanctuary. The Nazare beach is less than an hour away. Parking near the hotel was easy. The breakfast was simple and they accomodated our requests with it.
This was the best lodgings I've ever stayed in. Everything was new, clean and very well prepared. There's everything you need. It's spacious and it contains three bedrooms with two of them having its own toilet and bathroom which was absolutely amazing! The Sanctuary of Fátima is pretty near plus a supermarket just around the corner. The owner Paulo is very nice and always ready to help in case of need. Pilgrim Home is absolutely luxurious! A perfect place. Muito obrigado, Paulo!
I loved my room (402)! Beautiful view of the church lit up until 12:30 am every night.
Everything worked perfectly in the room - heat, TV, shower and the bed was so comfortable.
Most of all, though, I loved the proximity to the Fatima sanctuary, and the incredible
kindness of the staff - Ana Julia, Joao, Ines and the owner, Emanuel. I am looking forward
to returning to Hotel Santa Isabel soon.
Amazing hotel (which is right next to the Fatima Shrine), excellent prices, great food, very helpful and friendly staff, and inside the hotel are 2 incredibly beautiful Catholic Chapels (1 Latin rite, 1 Byzantine) - well worth visiting these! I would strongly recommend and I plan to return here on a future pilgrimage
Actually I was rehoused at hotel Imper so this review does not apply to Villa Fatima hotel. Beatriz the receptionist is amazing. Please pass her my thanks. In an ideal world every hotel would have a Beatriz. My room was excellent and very cheap.
Amazing hotel team. Reception was brilliant and got us into dinner despite them also having a coach tour arriving. Amazing value fir delicious dinner. Charming service. Room was massive and comfortable. Very short walk to the Fatima shrine.
I liked Fatima itself. It was easy enough to get around and the shrine of Fatima was so close to my hotel. It was very nice as I wasn't too good on my feet.so it was easy too get around. I had a lovely few days in Fatima. Thanks.
I was moved from Cruz Alta to another hotel 100 meters ahead called Estrela de Fátima.
The hotel is a crossroad from Fatima's Sanctuary, breakfast was excellent and the room was very quiet, so the change didn't cause any upset.
The staff was very friendly and very helpful. the price was great and the location could not have been better!
Breakfast was included . I highly recommend it and when I go back to Fatima I will do my best to stay ther.
A very nice, comfortable and clean hotel. A thick and soft matress on bed provided a good rest after busy day in Fatima. Good location not far from the sanctuary in Fatima. Best regards, Tadeusz from Poland
The hotel was really clean and comfortable and the location is perfect. Just a few steps from Shrine of Fatima. The price was also really competitive. The hotel also has a restaurant with good prices.
Perfect location. Walking distance from the bus station and the Sanctuary of Fatima. The hotel is quite new and is very nice and clean. Lots of restaurants to choose from near the hotel.
I liked the price and the proximity to the shrine AND the homes of the Fatima children seers. The room was fairly updated and a good heating system. Staff was friendly and accomodating.
The hotel is just beside the sanctuary of Fatima. Our rooms were large and very clean, adequately climatized. Also the bathroom and the shower were spacious.
The hotel is conveniently very close to the Shrine of Fatima, which is why it has a great location. The room is very clean and the breakfast is really fine.
Best location in Fatima. Clean, modern hotel. Excellent professional staff. comfortable king size bed (treat in Portugal). Clean, nice garage underneath
