Food was great in the restaurant with very attentive staff. Museum like feel to the decor and fittings. Very historic building but charming because of this.

Medias is an interesting city but definitely the local authorities could do much better. I was shocked enough to find out that there were no buses connecting the Saxon villages nearby, notably Biertan, where one of the most beautiful fortified churches of Transylvania is located. Not everyone travels by car and not everyone should afford the ridiculous prices of the local taxis.

Old City Center is worth a visit (about 1,5h if you want to make the best out of it), especially during winter when everything is white.
Because of covid, there's not much to do there, unfortunately. It's difficult to find an open restaurant, but there is a takeaway place right in the central square, if you like kebab.
You should also visit Biertan Fortified Church nearby.

You definitely need to stay in the old town, to get the right feeling about the city. If you meet the right people, you can hear a lot of good stories about the city's history, traditions and culture. Everything is pretty much 3 minutes away from everything. Nice lunch at Casa Ardeleana, good food and wine.

Very friendly staff.
Very friendly staff. I usually use the station as it stops here en route to/from Alba Iulia from Sibiu. The pub is literally right across the street from the train station and the centre of town is walking distance in either direction, so no need to use public transport unless you are going further out. The rooms are situated above the pub, however you do not get disturbed by the music playing in the bar. If you are looking for short break in a quiet town, Medias is perfect. Overall, I had a pleasant stay & have booked again for November for 10 nights.
The apartment has a nice medieval & modern vibe and is located on a beautiful street a few meters away from the main square. It is close to everything, including the station (which is at about 6 minutes of walking with luggage). It is in a quiet yard, so it is protected from the noise and agitation of the town (although Mediaș isn't really a noisy town). The host was kind, she went as far as buying some brand new stuff I needed for cooking in the kitchen.
Large, cosy rooms, well equipped, free parking in the courtyard. The apartments are all situated in a historic building right in the center of the town, close to everything worth to visit in Medias. We managed an arrangement to get breakfast at a fair price, even though it was a national holiday and the staff was free. Too bad they forgot to put some bread into our packages :)
Excellent location, right in the centre of town and only a short walk from the train station. The apartment is very spacious, clean and bright with a nice view of the main park. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, kettle and coffee maker. The owner/ host is very helpful. All in all, it was perfect for our two day stay in Medias.
Apartment is on first floor looking out onto the main square in Medias. Despite this, it was very quiet at night and in the morning. The shower had excellent pressure and the Wifi worked very well. The key pick up was from the cafe below and that worked well and also we managed to get a parking spot in the courtyard.
The room is very basic with old furnishings but is large and clean. The kitchen is quite awkward with a sloping ceiling and hardly any utensils, pots etc. The location is good and Medias Old Town is cute. It is very quiet except the squirrel (?) that scratches the roof or is in the walls.
Very nice apartment in the center of Medias. We were surprised by the size of it but it was all very nice.
We arrived at a late hour but it was not a problem for the host. The apartment was very clean and the beds comfortable. There was coffee in the kitchen which was nice :)
The owner and all personal was very, very nice and helpful. When we arrived was earlier but they offered coffee and didn’t accept to pay for. I recommend this place . This hotel has restaurant , so is very comfortable to have everything in one place. Congratulations!
We were upgraded to the most luxurious hotel room I have ever stayed in. Furnished in a most wonderful rustic style. The Hungarian music from the Hungarian party in the vaults, audible during our meal, adding to a great ambiance on the night. Fabulous.
The rooms were classy, vintage furniture, the host was nice and ready to help all the time. The apartment location was really in downtown of Medias, close to the event that I was attended. The cleaning was good.
Nice, big rooms, cozy beds, good food at the restaurant available at the establishment.
Decent parking & wifi, close to both Medias & Copsa Mica.
I was here before and I will come back with pleasure.
