Everything - the room was comfortable and had everything we needed, the breakfast was delicious and generous and the staff were very helpful. They even made us an early breakfast as we were out early on a tour and also made us a traditional Transilvanian meal one night. Brilliant.

Zarnesti is a nothing town.
Zarnesti is a nothing town. The tourist information booth was always closed during our stay, including during the "open hours" that were posted. Restaurants are sparse. The reason to go there is to get quick access to the Carpathians. However, it is a challenge to know where to hike because the tourism office was always closed so we couldn't get a hiking map, & the signage on the trails is lame. The city could do so much to boost tourism but they seem uninterested. On a positive note - A really cool thing about Zarnesti is the Sunday morning market. I was fascinated. You can buy anything from strawberries to chain saws. They have amazing cheeses & fruits on offer.

Zarnesti is your starting point to explore Piatra Craiului...
Zarnesti is your starting point to explore Piatra Craiului National Park. There's a helpful tourism office in the center of town. Grocery, pharmacy, and other shops are easy to find. It has some nice guesthouses such as Hora cu Brazi. Restaurant Padina Craiului is a great place to grab dinner--try the roasted vegetables and grilled trout with polenta. Have some plum brandy with dessert! Getting a taxi to tourist spots like Libearty Bear Sanctuary, Bran, and hiking trailheads is easy--try "Pro Taxi" and avoid "Tur Taxi." Zarnesti is embracing the beauty of its natural surroundings and welcoming tourists, however it remains mainly a regular, working town with small farm holdings, which, as a visitor to Romania, are interesting to see.
Apartment Crai found entirely place in my heart. It is hard to describe the pleasure which we stayed in the flat with.
First of all it is the best host I have ever met which was responsible and polite all the time of our stay giving us local recommendations.
It was so nice to see bottle of Champagne which they left us for a New Year!
The flat is super spacious and bright located in the modern building of town Zarnesti.
It contains everything you need for a comfortable living.
Price is affordable and this flat is surely worth it.
Excellent hosts made our family feel very, very welcome. Ramona gave us great tips about making best use of our time at "7 Scări" and Bran Castle, as well as other things to do around Zărnești. Location is very easy to find, close to everything in Zărnești. Great parking inside the yard. Kitchen and bar are downstairs away from sleeping rooms through a different entrance - we were able to have a great time downstairs without having any noise upstairs. And it's worth repeating, the host were absolutely great!
The apartment was very clean and had all needed appliances. We found it comfortable and it had a perfect location for us since we wanted to do different hikes and explore parts of Piatra Craiului National Park.
The apartment has a lovely view of the mountains from all windows.
It was very easy to find and the hosts were very friendly, helpful and easy to contact if needed.
Can totally recommend this stay to whomever wants to do different trips in Zarnesti as well as in Brasov.
Location was great, travelled with my 10yo daughter and she was absolutely delighted about the room and the cherry on top were the friendly dogs the hotel has. On a serious note, room was clean, loved the design, bathroom was big enough, a balcony with superb view, pool was clean and well maintained, food at restaurant was tasty. What mattered for me the most was the attitude of the staff, very friendly and flexible.
The owners and part of the personal, especially one of the waitresses were generally super nice and helpful. We come soaked from the mountains and they let us into the restaurant in spite of the fact it was closed. They borrowed us electric heating to make our stuff dry. They even gave us ride to Zarnesti. The rooms were really nice and cozy. The breakfast were really tasty and quite big portion.

Studio 54 is the perfect place to rest, have a cup of tea or glass of wine after a long hike in the hills and mountains surrounding Zărnești. The hosts were very kind and thoughtful. We found the room clean, cozy, tastefully decorated and smelling nice. Oh, and some nice surprises. We would definitely like to return.
I loved the suite.Worth every penny. And it has a jacuzzi. The suite was clean, comfortable and warm. You have an espresso machine in the room, unfortunately I didn't quite like the selection of coffee available. The View is stunning and it's very quiet. The hotel is in walking distance from a children's playground.
