The perfect place to relax and recharge. Very nice, spacious rooms, great bathroom layout. Confortable bed and silent efficient AC. The first hotel i stayed in that had a steamer instead of an iron( very good for summer eary dresses). The pool and pool bar area were great- they have happy hour ;). The beach is across the street and its a wonderful place, plenty of natural shade thanks to the luxurious Seychelles vegetation. The beach restaurant is awesome. I usually dont comment about the hotel staff, but i will this time. They were all smiling, polite, and had a great ease when attending to our requests. This added to the holiday feel. We had half bord, breakfast was buffet style and dinner was a 3 course meal. I highly recommend this gotel. Intimate, elegant, very clean, perfect location, excelent service.
Set high above sea level, Villa Kayola - Self Catering is set on Mahe Island, 15 minutes' walk from the beach at Anse aux Pins. Free private parking is available on site.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Jimmy, the host of Villa, showed me perfect beaches and gave papaya and avocado from his garden for back trip. Maya helped me to pay despite that my card stop working. I also recommend to book second floor room because of view. It takes about 15 minutes of walking to get villa from bus station and it's safe area

Check in was super easy. The villa was beautiful and comfortable, the AC worked well. The garden was gorgeous, and the view of the mountain was lovely. Supermarket across the street made it very convenient, as well as proximity to airport.

There was no breakfast; we bought groceries at a local bodega. The hosts were very helpful, but the accommodation was somewhat basic. This stay needs to be rated in comparison to surrounding local options. As such, it was fairly good. But Seychelles accommodations in general appeared to be either quite expensive or somewhat basic.
The area is gated with easy parking for good security. A beach is within easy walking distance. The sunrise over the ocean was beautiful.
Located just a 5-minute walk from the white sand Beau Vallon Beach, Beau Vallon Residence is surrounded by a tropical garden. It offers a self-catering apartment with a veranda and outdoor seating.

The apartment is beyond expectation, very spacious, well equipped, with a huge bathroom, gigantic bed, living room and a well equipped kitchen where you can actually cook (big fridge, stove, microwave, tosater, coffeemachine, electric pot, kitchen towel, cling wrap...) And a huge balcony.
Its about 6-7min walk from the beach, 2min from shops and bus stops, the owner Aline is very nice, can organize car for you, the staff is very friendly too, cleaning every day!
Can only recommend!

Everything about the hotel was great - facilities, close to the airport and the city, food.
We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival.
We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival. The island is absolutely stunning, from the wild jungle and huge granite mountains to the pristine beaches and indescribably blue sea. The driving is crazy - the roads are not straight with lots of steep curves and bends, so drive carefully if you hire a car to explore the island, which is highly recommended. There are lots of hidden gems - we ate at Maria's Rock which was a fabulous experience, and we highly recommend eating at the Boat House on Beau Vallon beach and the Green House in Au Cap. Buy freshly caught fish from the fish sellers on the side of the road and cook your own - it is cheap and delicious. Food in general, whether you are eating out or buying from one of the local corner grocery stores, is very pricey, so beware! Visit the Botanical Gardens and grab a delicious pastry and ice cream from the Polish owned bakery just across the road and down from the Botanical Gardens entrance. Definitely visit the Mission Ruins in Venn's Town in the Morne Seychellois National Park, the views are breathtaking. Also visit the beach at Anse Soleil for the best sunsets.

I really enjoyed Praslin - I had stayed 6 days in Praslin and 5 in Mahe. If I ever come back (i would love too) i would stay only one day in Mahe and the rest in Praslin. I brought my own coffee, the supermarkers are available but tehy had only nescafe, the available products are imported and expensive compare to Europe(butter, bear, bread and so one). It worth renting a car right from teh boat - if you are nor tired (They drive on the left side !!). Taxi is extremelly expensive and not available - for teh New Year we call two number , did not get any answer so we went using the renting car). You need a car and in my opion public transportation is not a solution.
You can pay with car almost everywhere except for taxi (I used Revolut) so you do not need a lot of cash in rupees. Some restaurant they charge you also for service on the bill 5% or 10%.

We hired cars for our holiday group and went shopping, sight seeing of Victoria city and the whole Mahe island and out evenings to restaurants and entertainment. We also did the glass bottom boat full day trip and were pleasantly surprised on this trip to meet his Excellency the State President and First Lady of Seychelles also spending relaxing time at the Beach House on one of the islands, where this lovely couple so graciously addressed the visitors to the island and so kindly gave our group from South Africa audience and a photo shoot opportunity that was the highlight of our visit to Seychelles.

Beautiful island with a little for every taste: amazing beaches (for families, adults and snorkelling), great scuba diving, water activities and excursions, amazing nature trails, good choice of restaurants.
If you want to explore the island car rental (40/50 €/day)is a must as public transport is limited (waiting time can be 30/40 mins - 7SR each ride). If you want to explore the best beaches or plantations/waterfalls/attractions consider a car.

Mahe is great! I loved it so much.
Mahe is great! I loved it so much. Firstly the Ocean for sure, with lots of beaches along the costs. There's plenty of activities to do like snorkeling, diving, surfing, kayaking, hiking, etc. Due to Covid-19 they have some restrictions of course but still you can have a great time there. Restaurants and bars are open until 10 pm, but some of them close earlier to allow their staff to get homes before curfew. Shops, minimarkets close at 7 pm. Wearing of masks is mandatory in public places, and they register your name country and temperature at the entrance in every restaurant, café, shop, etc. to have a track of visitors.
To get around you can either rent a car or use a taxi, public buses are not allowed for tourists now because of COVID-19. Overall the place is very safe. People are super welcoming, helpful, friendly and always smiling. There's a great choice of what to eat depends on your personal taste but most popular is fish and seafood of course.
Just go there, relax by the beach, get some walk around. In Mahe you forget about your everyday problems and routines, you are just enjoying being in the moment.

Everything is good except Food.
Everything is good except Food.
Mahe is very touristic and in most places prices for food are too expensive comparing to what you can get on Praslin or La Digue.
Sometimes you pay 2x but get the same or even smaller portions and lower quality in restaurants than on other islands.
A impeccable newly established resort that had a nice and neat and tidy feeling.
Room gives off a very clean and luxury mood with refined design. I never experienced such powerful and cool air conditioned facility.
Staff are not only kind but also very professional and considerate.
I visited major curry restaurants with good review in this island spending 10 days in Seychelles, but curries in dinner menu in this hotel was the best which made of luxury spices beautifully mixed with fresh octopus and job fish. so we had dinner twice here.
The property is right on the beau vallon beach which according to me is the best beach in Mahe. We could snorkel on the beach just opposite to our stay. And you will find a sandy beach for swimming towards the left which has nice eateries and beach benches on rent. There are more than a couple restaurants and super markets in the walkable distance. Also the bus stop is right opposite if you are not renting a car. More over Cecile was very welcoming and helpful and also the staff is very friendly and cordial and ready to help.
Cute little place with a nice view of the north coast of Mahe island. It was a really stay, we had a comfortable 1 bedroom apartment with attached toilet and small kitchen that was amply stocked with all the necessary amenities one could require for an independent stay on the island. Very close to Victoria (capital city), the ferry and other attractions on the island. A big bonus is the host, Roland, who is extremely friendly and helpful, personable, and has 4 very cute and well behaved puppies to play with!
The location is amazing. Manuela, her sister and mum are so lovely and I love that it’s a women’s run establishment. The villas are so tastefully done- a mix of modern plus Creole. The grounds are stunning. Manuela arranged for us to have dinner at the villa one night- strongly recommend that. It is pricey but the food is plentiful (we had 2 meals out of it) and delicious. Overall- we wish we stayed longer. It was the best way to end our trip to Seychelles.
Our stay at Villa Lima was perfect. The apartment is nicely and modern furnished and you can have a great view on the sunrise from the balcony. Angelle was very helpful: She surprised us with the possibility of a early check-in as we took the overnight flight to the Seychelles. She gave us a lot of recommendations and was answering quickly in advance and during our stay.
We would definitely choose Villa Lima again as an accomodation on Mahe.
The island is beautiful. The room was excellent. Some staff members were excellent, especially in the restaurants. Some of the receptionists weren't as welcoming as others. Some spent more time laughing and chatting than helping guests check-in and assist with hotel arrangements. However, most of the staff was amazing. The tours were excellent. The hotel was clean. The pool and ambiance were excellent. The food was amazing 👏 😋 😍
Good people, with warm Hearts
We felt Like a Part of Family. The mother brang my wife a warm soup, because of sickness.
The eldest son savio give me very good advices, with people in Seychelles.
They cooling my beer, without asking.
The young Cat Daisy, stay the whole night in our rooms, for helping my wife, to get Well soon.
The father Robert " the rabbit" brang us to Airport. He has to Stand Up very early.
Perfect getaway. In the south of mahe which is more quiet and secluded. Beautiful room and beach. The best thing is the lovely hostesses- really helped us with everything, even drove us free of charge to the closest restaurant (30 mins away) on the first night before we got a rental car. Gorgeous garden, and turtlesss! Also super recommend the breakfast and the dinner. Delicious!!!!
One of the most comfortable places to stay in, in Seychelles.
The chalet is well designed with great modern taste, well equipped with all of what you might need, and everything is of high quality.
Location right on the beach.. actually makes you almost in water.
Internet is very good considering other places I booked.
Mini markets are few mins walking from the chalet.
Dear Beryl,
you created a wonderful place here on Mahe. We felt nearly at home in your nice house and we enjoyed it very much to stay in your beautiful garden. Your are the nicest and helpfully person, I ever met on our journies. Thank you for all.
When I will remember our holidays on Seychelles, I will always think of you!!!!💕Hope, one day, we will meet again!!!
Really modern, clean and spacious apartment with a lovely outdoor terrace to relax on. The location in the south of the island was perfect, really quiet but close drive in either direction of some of the most beautiful beaches such as Takamaka beach, Anse Royale, Anse Soleil etc. Slyvia and Yannick were the perfect hosts, really friendly and welcoming.
Great breakfast, friendly staff, and smart small hotel not far from the airport and walking distance to Eden island and Leo’s food bus takeaway. We were able to use the hotel’s facilities for the day and go over to the island resort despite checking out of our room and waiting for an evening flight. Thank you!
The history of the place, the art exposed, the design of the resort and the rooms, the facilities (3 pools ans spa), the views, the 3 amazing restaurants, the staff and concierge services, the little details of a 5-star hotel (complimentary shoe shining services, excellent house keeping services)
Really lovely little villa with it's own plunge pool, just a short walk to the beach. Great start to our holiday in the Seychelles and just down the road from the rum factory. You will need a car if you want to explore more of Mahe as this is the quiet end of the island
Great place with breathtaking views and amazing hospitality from Lenny. Clean and value for money. Use Lenny's suggestions, he is very well educated about the area and mahe island so he will help you a lot with his suggestions.
Once again hug thanks to Lenny.
