Friedly city, everything is close and you can walk around...
Friedly city, everything is close and you can walk around the city. The view is so nice! People are friendly. Favorite place is the historical Palace of course. We had meals at Slottspaviljongen - the food was very nice and very good service. Very easy to get around in Mariefred

We also had my father's funeral service at the hotel and they did not offer for me to have the room for a delayed check out or anything. I also explained that it was my father’s funeral that I am coming for and they did not put us together in nearby rooms although there were many of us staying at the hotel. I also had an infant bed in my room.

Our room was fantastic, but, but the connecting room doors really need to be insulated. We felt uncomfortable talking at a normal volume because we could here the conversation happening in the room next to us. Mariefred is a very nice little village and this hotel is in the middle of it. 5 minutes walk to the castle, 1 minute to a grocery store, book store etc and cafes. The room was clean and cozy with windows that could be opened. I took my morning smoke 50 steps away, on a bench looking out over the water and the castle, (attached pic)MartinSweden

We also had dinner and breakfast, and both were very well prepared and delicious. We appreciated the fast that most (if not all?) products are local and organic. We can highly recommand this hotel.
