This hotel is not a party place. It is for relaxation and serenity. The town is a 10 to 15 minutes walk. The pier, 7/11, bakery and many bars and restaurants. Tons of scooters which are basically the only mean of transportation if you don’t want to walk. A nice night market open nightly with good food and souvenirs. After being in Koh Samui for over a month as older people we enjoyed Thongsala because of the ease of walking to town. If you like to shop you will find hundreds of typical beach shopping. The town itself is surprisingly quite big. Definitely on top of our list for favorite beach town.

Thong Sala was our favorite city.
Thong Sala was our favorite city. Good energy, a lots of good food (a lot of vegan restaurants), markets.
Not too party and not too hippie. Was a good mix of everything and of locals and tourists.
Very good located to reach all the beaches with the scooter.

I love Thong Sala.
I love Thong Sala. Great food, bars and lots of things to do and see! They have Muaythai Chinnarach who provides the best training even if you just want to learn a new sport or keep fit! There is an english pub The Masons Arm - a friendly guy called Stephen will make you feel so welcome! Great beaches you can walk along and I love the sunsets from Becks Resort!

Clean little town with a big variety of restaurants.
Clean little town with a big variety of restaurants. Ask for Nopp - he is an amazing, flexible, affordable tour guide who feels more like a friend and takes you around the island at your own pace and wherever you want to go. He also offers bike/scooter riding lessons for you to do your own exploring on a bike/scooter. It is a popular means of transport in Thong Sala and the whole of Koh Pangan. Nopp's number is: +66 81 682 9727.

Tho gsala is a good central point to stay , you can then hire a scooter to visit the west (yoga and wellbeing community)and north where the good beaches are (Haad Yao ,Haad salad) or travel south to Haad Rin with sunrise beach and of course the full moon Party
Great food market!.
Hiring a scooter is a must to get around ,no buses and taxis will start at the pier but getting them elsewhere is a pain and your just have to wait
the hotel wasn’t too far into the city but not close enough ( 10 min from the pier ) , the receptionist was a sweetheart , at check in he offered graciously to take us to the pier with his own car without asking for any extra charges. we had the private room villa which was amaziiiing , I have a phobia of bugs in general but I didn’t mind any of the flies because of the quality of the room , it was truly remarkable , best hotel I’ve stayed in in Thailand hands down and super affordable!!!
Our villa was right on the water and had wonderful views. It is cozy, spectacularly clean, and recently renovated property. The location in Thong Sala is central but peaceful, especially during parties, as it’s away from the main road. The owners are so kind, welcoming, and have great communication. They allowed early check-in and a place to park. Tristan made us feel at home and well taken care of. We can’t wait to stay again! Merci, ขอบคุณครับ
It was a nice place to stay considering the price. Very close to the ferry stop - it was very easy to walk to hotel from the port. The room was spacious and you got to keep your things nicely next to your bed. Locker was much appreciated. Rooftop with it's hammocks was really nice and cozy place to chill. Loved the fact there were yoga mattresses you could use. Lots of space on the rooftop to practice yoga etc. The host is very helpful.
Superb hospitality for the wonderful man who owns the place, nothing was too much trouble! The accommodation is really welcoming and comfortable and we really enjoyed the location, close to the night market - it was really easy to get around by scooter too, which we rented directly from the hotel. A lovely laundry place is next door too. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.
It’s right in front of the street where they celebrate sonkan festival. I was splashed some was and it went in my eyes. I felt really uncomfortable and thankfully our hotel was walking distance so I was able to get back and change the lens. They provide hair dryer which doesn’t exist in the hotel I stayed before in Koh Phahang island. The host is friendly and they did not ask for deposit.
I actually took the wrong key out with me and had to break back in at 2.30am with some men who smashed a small paine of glass. I felt terrible about this, so the next morning I found a glazier who was willing to replace it for 100baht. The hotel accepted this and their communication with me over the issue was excellent.
The bunk beds are comfortable and private, they have light and a plug. The bathrooms are excellent, better than those in many quality hotels. It is close to everything, 7-Eleven, top and markets. The owners are very nice and always willing to give you a hand and give you recommendations. I would repeat
New hotel in an interesting setting. Breakfasts a bit limited on choice but quite good. Showers are huge and have a nice view - really enjoyed that part. Finally a hotel that allows you to use the Netflix app on the TV (although you probably won't be doing too much Netflixing while in Koh Phangan...)
The situation of the hotel is excellent. When you wake up in the morning you have an amazing view to the beach. The hotel is very quiet if you wanna have a relaxing vacation.
The restaurant food was delicious and good price for the quality. Staff was very kind and friendly.
A great place if not looking for a party/social hostel, ideally located in thong sala, a very short wak once you get off the ferry and close by to the night market. Babi was an amazing host and even gave us a lift to the full moon party, massive thank you.
Location is quiet and close to all the activity places in the same time. Prices in the restaurant are very good. Hotel provides motorbike renting. Pool is good. Provide free transfer to the ferry. Location is very good for wind surfing.
The location was very nice. You can walk about 2 minute from Ferry, It's close to Thong Sala Pier, PHANTIP NIGHT MARKET, 7-11, Bar, restaurant, taxi stop, Motorcycle rental shop and etc. The cleaner was very nice, helpful and friendly.
very friendly staff. the hotel is right on the beach, beautiful sunsets every evening. the rooms are spacious and were clean upon arrival. the air conditioner was powerful. shops, markets, food courts - everything is nearby
good location, big comfortable bed
hot water.
hotel staff we encountered looked nice and the grounds looked maintained and clean.
we only used it to sleep so can’t say too much about the resort facilities.
