Hampton Inn & Suites Chapel Hill/Carrboro, hotel in Chapel Hill

The Hampton Inn and Suites Chapel Hill Carrboro is just 1 mile from the University of North Carolina. Guests will enjoy a daily breakfast during their stay as well as free Wi-Fi in all rooms.

I am reaching out after days of back and forth with Booking.com customer service and then essentially not hearing back since 4/10/2024, aside from asking me to rate your customer service. I originally tried to make a reservation at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Chapel Hill/Carrboro NC through the hotel itself, however they had no available rooms under the wedding block and I was referred to use booking.com or orbitz, etc. I went with booking.com. I made my reservation for 4/12/24 through 4/14/24 for 2 nights for the total of $732.00 Booking # 4031391120 Pin # 2386. Prior to my arrival, I was notified that the hotel had available rooms under the wedding block. I called and requested a cancellation. An email was sent to the hotel. I confirmed with Enrique, hotel manager that the hotel agreed to cancelled the reservation and grant Booking.com the approval to refund my $732.00. It is weeks later and I have not yet received my refund. Now, I have paid not only for the wedding block rate of $451 and I am still out the $732.00. I would appreciate the refund ASAP or I will seek further action. I can be reached by phone at 1-973-800-0176 or my email at tracyhornik@yahoo.com.

Chapel Hill is excellent but recommend you do not stay in Courtyard by Marriott due to rude poor service provided by front desk. Costed us more than the booking rate due to front desk clerk changing the reservation at check in. No service recovery offered by manager

My biggest problem was someone pulled the fire alarm at 4o'clock in the morning, and the hotel didn't adjust the bill to reflect the loss of sleep, or even offer an explanation. The only time it was mentioned was when I bought it up.

    Check out the Rizzo Center!

Check out the Rizzo Center! It combines the charm of a bygone era with comfirtable modern amenities. Take a walk on the grounds and enjoy spectacular flower gardens, mature trees, and brick walking paths. I booked this trip for my husband and me as a Valentine's gift, and he loved it, commenting several times on how impressed he was with the hotel, service, food, and staff.

Chapel Hill is a beautiful university city.

Chapel Hill is a beautiful university city. It's a wonderful place to walk and gaze at the UNC-Chapel Hill campus (oldest school in the country). Some fun places to eat, I tried a Mediterranean place on Franklin street. The city has a really nice vibe and atmosphere. Easy to get around on the free city buses. Disadvantage is that it's on the expensive side and requires some planning. Although the RDU airport serves all three major cities in the area it's mainly car based so you'll probably end up getting a rental.

I came to help my dad move into the new Azalea Estates retirement community and had a great time visiting Chapel Hill. Folks are friendly and helpful. Lots of great restaurants, campus has so much to offer-I particularly enjoyed the Auckland Art Museum. Ate ate The Rise, Luna, 410, Carrboritos, Al’s Hamburgers and also bought food at Weaver Street Market and Harris Teeters to fix meals in my room. And when I missed my cats I went to the Cat Cafe on Franklin Street -had a great time.

Chapel Hill is a beautifully manicured city with that quaint southern touch. Being there makes you want to walk around to get a better view of everything. The university is awesome in person and reputation. A tour of the facilities is a must.

I’m a Kenan-Flagler graduate (24 years ago) and did not know the Rizzo Center was a Kenan Flagler conference center so I was delighted to see the Kenan-Flagler logo as soon as I walked in the foyer. Beyond that, I didn’t know what to expect from a university-affiliated hotel. I was happy to see that it was a true 4-star Hyatt experience. I got a reasonable room rate. I will be returning! Breakfast was very good. Far better than any other complimentary breakfast I’ve had a hotel!

My plane was very late getting in so I needed to meet my daughter at her nearby apartment instead of checking in at the hotel which was 20 mins away, so we could make it to her sorority function on time (which was the purpose of my visit). You all accommodated my late check in that night which was so appreciated!!!
