I’ve been Staying in Mackinaw City for the last 21 years I’ve Been impressed with it since the 1st stay in 2002 I’ve even stayed There The Last week of November and I walked the Bridge in 2022I KNOW it’s NOT the Chamber of Commerce’s Fault BUT the Prices of EVER-THING Has Gone EXTREMELY HIGH for Elderly Visitors The Best Prices I found was when I stayed in November 🤷♂️🤷♂️ But then there’s Not much to do in the winter months

Beautiful city! There is so much to do if you have the time.
Beautiful city! There is so much to do if you have the time. Walking around in the fall weather was enjoyable. Mackinac Brewhouse wine tasting was enjoyable because Stephanie was so nice. The lighthouse and walking path are a must see. The city is very clean. I could have stayed longer than my 4 days and found plenty to do or just relax and enjoy.

Awesome visit this year, during our 2022 visit most of the seasonal staff all over the city were rude and had bad attitudes , this year was opposite where staff members all over the city were outstanding , I already miss Nonnas pizza and my new favorite ice cream place The Sweet Spot on the main drag , the burgers we had at the White Buffalo were delicious, I had the bison burger and my wife had beef burger
,both were delicious but the bison one is better

I highly recommend the Labor Day Bridge Walk and Headlands International Dark Sky Park. A day trip to Mackinac Island or Sault Ste Marie is fun if you've never been, but maybe I've just stayed in Mackinaw City too many times, I couldn't find much I wanted to do. Tried to go to Tahquamenon Falls State Park in the UP, but road construction delays were such that I turned around and went back. Some of my favorite shops have closed, restaurant options and quality were less than my previous visits. The weather didn't help, it was the hottest, most humid Labor Day weekend anyone could remember, and then there were thunderstorms, wind, and rain the last 2 days of my visit.

I always enjoy a trip to the Straits!
I always enjoy a trip to the Straits! There are plenty of activities to do in Mackinaw City; we typically take a trip to Mackinaw Island. The only bad thing is that prices seem to be higher in Mackinaw City than in St. Ignace.
This hotel is the best from which to view the Mackinac Bridge and Lakes Michigan and Huron. The best part is that this exceptional view can be taken poolside - or from the beach which is right outside the gate. It's also a short walk to the Mackinaw City dining/shopping area and the ferries to Mackinac Island. The owner/staff are great, the grounds and rooms are clean and comfortable, and the value is almost shocking it's so good. I have stayed here multiple times and will stay here again.
We loved the price considering it has a private beach area with chairs, tables and firepits plus an indoor water park! At the time of our visit the slides were not operating but we still had tons of fun in the lazy river, pool, hot tub and indoor pirate splash area (big enough for adults). Room was clean. Staff were always available and were friendly. They weren't sitting in the back room on their phones like other hotels we've been too.
Loved everywhere about this hotel! A bit away from town but I didn't mind. Friendly, accommodating staffers, clean room, huge room. I just can't say enough good things and I have been traveling to Mackinaw City for many, many years. By far, the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Don't waste your money on overrated Hampton Inn or Clarion. This hotel is sooooo much better and somewhat cheaper.
The room was clean and quiet, and the staff were very nice. It's an older hotel, but it is very clean and comfortable. The view of the bridge from our room was great. They allowed us to park in their lot before check-in, so we did not have to pay to park in the ferry parking lot. I would easily stay here again. It was a ten-minute walk to the ferry and downtown.
We got a adjoining rooms on the first floor. This made it easy for us to associate with each other and to attack the beach. The sand on the beach is full of stones and not very broad, but that is not the hotel's fault. The location near the Machinac Island boat ferries made it easy to catch one to the island. On the whole, we really enjoyed our experience.
Great location close to Mackinaw City with great view of Mackinaw Island and lake Huron. Very nice and clean beach. We enjoyed the fire pits in the evenings and amazing sunrises in the morning. Very comfortable pine interior cabins. Reasonably priced for the area. Property Manager was very friendly and accommodating.
Hotel was in a convenient location near shops and restaurants. Desk staff was very friendly when we checked in. Hotel has a neat log cabin look outside. They offered a hot breakfast which was unexpected. The beds were comfortable. Loved the walkout sun deck.
when I book my hotel ,in clouded breakfast ,when I get there they said no breakfast, when I show my reservation in my phone with in clouded breakfast, they said they forgot to update in computer,no more breakfast. I WAS SO DESPOILMENT
MINOO
Hotel is on the beach and within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, ship museum, and ferry to Mackinac Island. Seen fireworks display over the lake which was pretty awesome. Room was larger than typical size hotel rooms.
The room was clean and spacious (we had two queen beds). Nice roomy pool but water was a bit cool. Hotel felt a bit dated but overall it was nice. Location to get to downtown was excellent.
We didn't like anything about the 'Great' Mackinaw 'Beachfront' Hotel. From what I saw and experienced briefly, it's the worst property--other than the run down motels--in Mackinaw City.
We love Mackinaw City.
Staff was very courteous and helpful.
New Beach chairs a definite plus. Most of our stays on the beach the chairs were all broken
