It was a dated property, but well maintained. It was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. It was also in a great location. It was a few blocks from the beach and downtown restaurants, but too far to walk.

We stayed at this hotel a few years ago so we knew what to expect, nothing has changed which is good and bad, staff helpful and pleasant, location is very nice in a residential neighborhood which we liked

The grounds itself is so quaint and beautiful, especially with the potted colorful flowers throughout the property. I also liked that the room was a decent size and it had a microwave and refrigerator and FIREPLACE, as well as a small table with two chairs. I was also impressed the shower was not plastic - the walls of the shower seemed to be huge marble slabs, which was a very nice touch.

Beautiful grounds! Our king cottage was just perfect for our trip with our dog. It was clean, the bed was comfy with lots of pillows. The shower has great pressure. The kitchen was a perfect size and stocked with coffee, dishes and utensils. The staff are wonderful and gave us great recommendations for the area. The bonus is the beautiful beach is just across the street. We walked our dog there almost every day. Thank you Andril for making our stay memorable!

Everything about the inn feels thoughtful and cozy, from the books in the library to the carefully-curated antiques in each room. It truly feels like you’ve stepped back in time to the pinnacle of the Victorian era. The staff is lovely and welcoming, and there are few things like spotting a dolphin or two in the bay as you enjoy a hot breakfast.

Place is pretty run down. Dry rot, etc on outside...not kept up at all. Staff was fine. Inside, everything seemed clean, but bathroom looked like it had black mold in shower, the caulking in bathroom discolored. The water was good and hot, though, and the jacuzzi-like tub worked well, just didn't look nice. Lots of fresh towels since they don't do daily housekeeping service anymore. Outside our room, the skylight leaked and the flooring was all wet.
Rooms feature a flat-screen satellite TV at this Pacific Grove area hotel. A continental breakfast is provided daily. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is less than 2 miles away.

This hotel was one of best rates in town, and it’s In an awesome location close to pebble beach, 17 mile drive, Monterey Bay, etc. Overall nice small quiet hotel in great location.
We loved Pacific Grove. The downtown is charming, the two restaurants we ate in were very good, Toasties and the Monarch Pub and Restaurant. The rocky coast is gorgeous with walking trails along it that go for miles.
It was very easy to get around.

Awesome ocean views (especially at sunset!), great natural history museum, delicious seafood. Lovely, walkable town (love the info on the old houses saying when they were built, and who the original owner was.) Kayaking, snorkeling, bicycling, golf, butterfly viewing all easily accessible and enjoyable almost year round.
Car is recommended, although to be fair I've never tried the public transportation system.

I love all the different types of shops the downtown has to offer. There are also excellent restaurants & little spots for coffee or tea. I love that it's near the seaside & some forest areas to explore. Downtown Monterey is just a very few minutes away. It's all a very relaxing part of the world.

Pacific Grove is a beautiful coastal town with many things to do and see. Just enough of what is needed is nearby but not overdone like a gas station on every corner, etc. The Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary is an amazing experience if you visit during the monarch migration season. Thousands of monarch butterflies to see. The beaches are stunning along the coastline and Monterey is just a stones throw away which offers more adventures. You really can't go wrong with this idyllic place.

One of our favorite places to visit.
One of our favorite places to visit. Pacific Grove has a real small town feel, but has wonderful restaurants (Red House Cafe, Bookworks Coffee) and the walking trail along the ocean is one of my favorite things to do. It is also close to other amazing places like Point Lobos, Big Sur and Pinnacles National Park. Try renting an E-bike and riding the stunning 17 Mile Drive from Pacific Grove to Carmel and back.

From our motel it was a short distance (walkable for young legs) to the ocean and the butterfly grove. There are great restaurants in Pacific Grove and nearby. Red House Cafe, Beach House (Lover's Point), Fishwife Restaurant are the ones we enjoyed. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Drive carefully, deer roam all around town night and day.
location great! accommodations great. best pet friendly place we’ve stayed. there’s actually a nice sized mini grass field for them. And I found a nearby recreation trail. The asilomar conference grounds allow dogs and the off leash portion of asilomar state beach is close walking distance. The cottages are super cute, very well equipped, thoughtfully designed. Would stay there again.
Beautiful spot in Pacific Grove, convenient to the things we wanted to do. We loved how clean the room was and how friendly Rishi is as well as how peaceful and quiet the Inn is. We had a ceiling fan plus plug in fan provided so fairly comfortable. Parking is great which can be a concern during Car Week. We will stay again for sure.
I was working remotely from the inn. The internet was exceptional, location was unbeatable as it was close to Pacific Grove facilities (about a 10-15mins walk) and close to Assomar beach (about 10mins walking). It was about 30mins walking to Cannery Row and about 20mins to Lovers Point. The staff was very friendly and helpful too.
Great location, lots of good restaurants within 5 mins walk. Hotel rooms were lovely, comfy bed, coffee and tea always available. Breakfast excellent and extra touch of cheese and wine early evening was fantastic. Thoroughly recommend, much better than a soulless motel!
The bed was extremely comfortable. It was very close to Asilomar Conference center that provides a walkway to the beach - a 10 minute walk. It was very quiet which was surprising as this is a pet friendly hotel. The room was very clean. We would stay again.
Really good hotel in Pacific Grove, close to the beach and to Lighthouse Ave (Pacific Grove's main avenue). The hotel is located in a very quiet location which is great and the staff is pretty friendly. The hot tub outside works just fine.
The hotel is perfectly located for walking to town and the ocean. The rooms have been updated and are very large. The grounds can use a little TLC but that wouldn't prevent us from staying at the Lighthouse Lodge & Cottages again.
Nice location in Pacific Grove, walking distance to the sea trail. Rooms are big with a lot of space, the whole area is very nice and family friendly, with shared barbecue space and a nice garden.
The desk staff was excellent, very friendly, helpful, efficient.
We liked being in Pacific Grove, easy access to Pebble Beach—we were there for the Concours d’Elegance.
And it was clean.
location was the best part. hotel is very dated. mattress wasnt thr best but lots of fluffy pillows helped. Good Continental breakfast but no water? We would for sure stay here again!
We were offered early check in when we got to Pacific Grove, and the front desk person was cordial. Great location. We have stayed here before and were very happy. Anniversary
Great location in Pacific Grove around the corner from the coast. Very quiet and easy to get to all the sights by car. The cottages were lovely and very spacious
