San Marcos is a beautiful city and less hectic than San Diego. I got to enjoy the Amalfi Restaurant, which I highly recommended. It is on Lake San Marcos by the Marina, it felt like stepping into the Italian Riviera for the evening. I attended a conference at The Movement church and that facility was beautiful.

The area and people were great!
The area and people were great! Loved San Marcos, Carlsbad, San Diego, and Malibu! Drivers are very considerate and cautious drivers. No litter a very clean area. I was in CA for work therefore only had a day and half to tour the area but hubby did while I was at work and said the same thing. We are both truly in love with area and would love to come back and stay for a week or more just to visit.

Coffee is available 24 hours a day. The decor is very nice, cheerful and bright, warm and welcoming. The staff were beyond compare. They were welcoming, helpful, attentive. This is not luxury hotel, just a standard Fairfield Inn, but it was such nice place to stay, that I would recommend it to anyone.
