The house offers a breathtaking view of the river right from the comfort of your bed, making the morning a delight. It's spacious and impeccably kept, with a well-stocked kitchen filled with cookies, coffee, and milk. Ross and Juan's attention to detail and warm welcome made our visit truly special.
Highly recommended for a peaceful, rejuvenating retreat.

Albertinia is a small country town without the big fast food...
Albertinia is a small country town without the big fast food take aways . Very rural . You can buy the basics at one of the cafes or Pizza place . There is not much as far as shops go so it is a stopover to break a long journey or a week or two of total peace and quite without too many modern day interruptions. There is a braai area and all you could want to have to have an enjoyable stop and a good night's sleep and no rush to get you out in the morning .. I simply bought rolls and cold meat and yogurt at Piet se kafee as I did not want to cook . Coffee is provided although if to a heavy coffee drinker you may want to buy a bit extra as most guest houses only give you enough for two or three cups of coffee . I had a nice chat with the owner who told me about the abundance of underground water and about the area in general...This is not a property where you can come in and drink and party and be a nuisance to others . . Albertinia is a quiet little town in the Karoo with a unique and charming character. It's small enough that you can walk anywhere that you want. There are some very nice restaurants around that serve traditional dishes. Visiting some of the camping sites around the area is a must, as they are located in some of the most spectacular Karoo veld around!
