The room was beautifully appointed, spacious and everything was very clean. Breakfasts were excellent and greatly exceeded my expectations. Our host Else, was very warm and kind with suggestions of sights and itineraries that we might like to see. She was very attentive to make sure we knew where walking paths started and described the route, phoned to make reservations for dinner etc - couldn't have been kinder!

To begin with, let me just say that there’s nothing not to like! Yes the location is perfect and yes the house itself is beautiful, but what I was not expecting was the attention that Inês & Miguel gave us. Even though they were going through personal tragedies, they apologize for not giving us more attention. From the moment we arrived ... late. They were on the phone trying to find a restaurant that would make dinner for us because of the hour, and they did find it. But they didn’t stop there, Inês went with us to the restaurant to make sure that we got the food and that we would find a place with no problem. Did I say that we arrived late? And they are still doing all of this for us! But that was just the beginning, throughout the stay we had text messages to make sure that everything was OK and to ask us if we needed anything. Also letting us know places to visit restaurants to go to, oh my goodness! I don’t know what else to tell anyone other than go there! You must visit this place and meet these amazing, amazing, amazing people. The people in town are warm, playful and welcoming. You have a choice of a lot of different restaurants with great food and cheese, most amazing, creamy and delicious cheese!! I am extremely picky with cleanliness and this house was spotless, it’s in the countryside and I could not find one little cobweb nor dust, clean kitchen, clean bathrooms. I know that there are other reviews saying how wonderful the place and location are, but there are no words to describe Inês & Miguel. God willing, we are definitely returning there next year!! By the way, my son left some of his things behind and they mailed us everything with no cost, can you believe people like this still exist? I’m sure I forgot to mention other wonderful things, but try it for yourself and you’ll see 😉

Nuno es muy simpático y atento, nos ayudó mucho recomendandonos rutas para hacer a pié en la zona, que fueron super bonitas! La casa está renovada y es muy cómoda. El desayuno ofrecido está muy bién, había pan fresco, embutido y quesos de la zona y mermeladas y membrillo hechos en casa, riquísimo! La ubicación dentro del parque natural y dentro del pueblo es perfecta para hacer excursiones y para comer en los restaurantes del pueblo, sino se desea cocinar. La casa dispone de una cocina con todo lo necesario.

Desayuno muy bueno y abundante. El pueblo agradable desde el que puedes hacer rutas, con pequeña playa fluvial muy bien preparada y desde el cual puedes visitar toda la Serra da Estrela.

Ubicación. Impagable ver la vida cotidiana del pueblo a través de las ventanas. Pastor con sus chivas y perros, señoras de negro yendo a la iglesia... Todo, menos un enchufe, funciona.
