Located a 1-hour drive from Melbourne, Olinda Country Cottages features 2 stand-alone cottages and 1 apartment-style 2-bedroom suite set in a 130 year-old, 1.5 acre garden. Breakfast was excellent. Clonmara Country House & Cottages offers comfortable and stylish cottages set in 1.5 acres of manicured gardens. The property is fronted by a gorgeous stone cottage dating from 1855. We didn't see the managers, but the lovely welcome note and finishing touches in and around the cottage were enough to indicate they know what they're doing! Beautifully decorated, private and comfortable cottage in a tranquil leafy spot on the outskirts of town.

A warm welcome to the hotel by the owners who took time to sit with us around a bonfire at night for a chat and a few drinks. A really clean and welcoming place to stay in the middle of the countryside with breathtaking views of the Grampians. In the morning we opened our room door to a field full of grazing kangaroos and roaring fire in the communal area. Really nice place to stay.
