Wonderful spot - the dog-friendly room is a huge plus and our primary reason for staying. The entire house worked perfectly for traveling with the pup. We were worried that it would be too far from Kagoshima, but it's so close to the train that it sort of balances out. Kajiki also has a lot of great things going for it - I'd recommend this place to anybody looking for a nice, quiet retreat.

Very helpful staff even though we arrived quite late, very sweet and charming lady who helped us order food for the very long hike of the day after (saved our day!). She also had many recommendations flyers about the hike, even though she didn't speak English, we appreciated this a lot! Great place to leave early for Jomon sugi 👍

Walking distance from Miyanoura port and just opposite the bus stop to everywhere 😁 Quiet, clean. They would clean my room everyday and even change the bedding. The owner is very nice. He knows the bus timetable by heart and offered hiking poles, gloves, tankan fruit and everything I needed :) Nice and clean shower too, and free access to washing machine, which is a big plus in Yakushima! Did I mention the extra soft duvet and comfy bed?

The staffs were very friendly and the location was reasonable to find with public transportation. Our room was facing the forest so it was very peaceful and quiet. And the dinner menu was never-ending, so we really felt like they put a lot of effort in the service! The riverside onsen was such a special experience as well!

Great shower pressure, privacy from curtains, lovely/helpful staff always available, AC in room, washing machine and beer fridge if you want... location was amazing. close to ferrys and 20ish walk to downtown. Peaceful quiet stay with only 2 other roommates.

Barbara was such a great host, recommending places to visit on Yakushima and so knowledgeable. The property is in a small town on the North Coast of Yakushima, very quiet and peaceful. Thanks for such an amazing time!

-Big and clean room. It was also very clean in the common areas, ie in the kitchen, bathroom, toilet. -Good location (5 minutes walk to the Kagoshima-Chuo station). -There were few guests, so it was quiet and peaceful without any noise in the corridor.
