My extended family stayed for a week at the Bond Estate over the Christmas 2023 period and we had the most marvellous, wonderful stay imaginable, My daughter got married a few miles away and we used the place a venue to get ready and have photographs taken; it was magical. Everything was perfect, from the fantastic, exotic swimming pool and jacuzzi to the outstanding full-on Bar-B-Que. The kitchen was incredibly well appointed and the coffee machine was a real luxury. The place was so well equipped that we comfortably hosted her new in-laws for a full on good, old fashioned English Christmas Dinner. The GIANT projector screen and selection of movies was an absolute delight, (Love Actually on Christmas day has never looked so good), the Tennis court was brand new and saw many a hotly contested rally. (You CAN be serious !!) Tracy (the facility manager) was always available; discreet yet accommodating in every way and a real plus for the premises. (Shout out for Shaun and Rhys the resident friendly Shoats, (Google it ! )) If you are thinking of staying on the outskirts of Christchurch and you want a little luxury in your life then you need look no further than the Bond Estate... we will CERTAINLY be returning.

A continental breakfast hamper featuring homemade granola and local produce is provided daily. An amazing setting, a beautiful house full of history. Might be slightly off the State Highway but well worth the detour.

We booked this cottage in Ashburton as a half way stopover between Mount Cook and Christchurch. What a beautiful spot out in the countryside surrounded by fields, trees, sheep and cattle. A stand alone very chic, beautifully designed 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom bungalow cottage in the grounds of the owners property but completely private. With a lovely outside area, lawn, seating area outside, BBQ and outdoor chairs. The whole house is stylish, elegant and modern with everything you might need for a stay. A very helpful owner on hand to answer any questions. The beds were also very comfy.

Set on the base of Mount Hutt ski area, on 750 acres of prime riverfront land, Montrose Estate provides 3 chalets offering self-contained, luxury accommodation overlooking the Rakaia River, mountain ranges and a 5-acre lake. Robert's greeting and service was exceptional. The views were one of a kind. This home was very cozy. Kids enjoyed the piano and kayaking. After a day snowboarding the hot tub and heated beds came in handy. The seclusion was great and the clear skies and stars were memorable. The home was very clean and worth every penny. We would really recommend staying at this property when visiting this area.
