Mont’s cottage and gardens were so charming and well cared for. The host left a fruit, milk, bread for guest use. The beach access was a bonus. We spent a month in New Zealand and this was one of our favorite places we stayed.

The location is very scenic. To wake up to a sunrise over mountain ranges and the fields across from the lodge was a great experience. There was only one other family at the lodge on the night that we stayed, so we pretty much had the entire house for ourselves. The house was very well maintained. The library, kitchen, patio, the room, everything was just perfect. The hosts welcomed us with a bottle of local wine and cheese and fruits platter. They gave us great information about the area.
