The warm breakfast in their own kitchen is a cultural experience as you get to meet people all over the world. I've booked for one night and I stayed there for three nights.

There is also a private bathroom, and a patio with a garden view. We had a great time and really enjoyed it. The house is super new and very clean. It is modern and stylishly furnished. The kids loved the yard, the fruit trees, the dogs and the Lego.

This 1-bedroom house is set amongst a picturesque backdrop of mature and native trees with cottage gardens, away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The host Steve is nice and communicatable. We were surprised by the abundant breakfast ingredients offered by Steve. The equipments in this house are convient. The decorations are beautiful. Staying in a storytelling house which used to be a school was special. We had a great stay in The Old School House!

Their dog Molly was lovely.

Outdoor dining is also possible at the country house. We could see the cows in the paddock when we arrived and even from the lounge area and some of the bedroom windows. The area is also quaint and quiet with great sunset views. The place has everything you need for a short stay and a short drive from Hobbiton and the Blue Springs.

There are hiking and mountain bike tracks in the Maratoto Valley. The Hauraki Rail Trail is 10 km away. Beautiful, eccentric, comforting. Generous, home made provisions of every sort. Generous, informative, characterful host!

Guests at the country house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Miranda, like hiking. Outdoor play equipment is also available at Miranda Orchard Cottage, while guests can also relax in the garden. Brilliant place to stay. Plenty of space. Kitchen was like being at home. Nice and quiet location in the country , only evening noise were cows and a morepork (owl). Friendly owners. The fresh laid eggs were great. This is why we returned to stay here again, after staying here on our last trip to NZ 5 years ago.

Wendy and Gary are really welcoming and kind.They gave us tea and cake when we arrived and made sure were settled in after our long drive. The room was super comfy and spotless. What a bonus to have the use of the pool too! It was so nice to be with hosts who were friendly but not intrusive. The location for touring the area was just perfect. We wish we had stayed longer!

Tongariro Estate has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in National Park, 16 km from Mount Ruapehu. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. The apartment features family rooms. Loved the location with a view of the mountain. Everything was comfortable, clean and modern, with everything we'd need to cook meals and wash clothes. Nice and spacious too. The hosts were also very kind to look after our clothes that we'd left in the dryer for us to pick up on our way back.
