The apartment is very clean, comfortable, spacious with big comfortable bed... everything what you would need is available there. You have your own parking space and little garden with outdoor furniture in front of the apartment. The handover of the keys is organized very good and easy and this was very convenient for us because we arrived late. The host was very kind and answered all our questions before arrival. I would recommend for sure to my friends.

Easy check-in/out, clean, very sweet to leave a bottle of wine as a “welcome” and it was very Easter themed as we visited during Easter - even the toilet paper had bunnies and ducks.

A tiny town without much to do.
A tiny town without much to do. Most people come here to relax, but i found many better towns in Austria which offer perfect relaxation but also a variety of activities and dinning possibilities.
I stayed here an entire week for work and probably won't come back. It's important to mention that the people everywhere were very nice and friendly and that the surroundings is beautiful but i found that to be something quite common in Austria.

Small spa town with a number of colleges dotted around.
Small spa town with a number of colleges dotted around. Very quiet part of Austria near the Slovenian and Hungarian borders with an attractive central park to stroll through. Not that many restaurants, visitors seem to dine in their hotels. The Delikaterie near the town square is very good and a great place to catch the twice-nightly fountain show to music, the nearby trees having seen a lot of life in their 150+ years. The authentic Italian restaurant Il Gabiano just down from the square is a welcome new-comer, and Maria's Bistro a great value option including pizzas which Il Gabbiano does not offer.
A car is most practical to explore the area, the railway to Feldbach is not that frequent and finishes quite early. Countryside is superb and if you get fed up walking or cycling the Zotter Chocolate Factory and Park in Riegersburg is hugely generous with the amount to be looked at tasted, no hurry up to leave either!

Bad Gleichenberg seemed a very nice and comfortable little town. The Steiermark countryside was not very dramatic, but it was certainly pleasing, with rolling wooded hills, vineyards, castles, fields in the valleys and quaint villages.

Cute spa town. Quiet.
Cute spa town. Quiet. Was described by the Vulkanland tourist council as
Bad Gleichenberg was a spa town on the grand tour at the beginning of the 20th century and is now an interesting town to visit. Although rather like many other central European spa towns of the period, it has declined over the years.
They need to fix that. It's really not that bad.

Lovely town with everything you need for a short stay.
Lovely town with everything you need for a short stay. We didn't use the thermal baths but they looked very well appointed and had different price offers depending on the time of day you went.
Plenty of local restaurants to choose from in the town and some more fine-dining restaurants within 10-15 minutes' drive.
There are lots of things to do in the area - we would have done more walking if the weather had been kinder but still managed to get around and see a lot in the 3 days we were there. Graz is a beautiful town and well-worth a visit, as is the wine region nearby "Steiermark" - the whites are stunning and I'm not a fan of whites usually. Will definitely go back.

The stay totally overcomes our expectations. The locality was very nice, and the hotel was brand new, but it was something that we expected. What made our stay special was the staff - everyone was great, but if we can highlight two, Linda and Josi made us feel really special - their level of kindness, willingness to help and facilitate everything that we could possibly need/wants was simply impeccable. Ladies, thank you so much for making our holiday so special!
Hotel: beautiful hotel, great location, nice design of the rooms, comfortable bed, cozy garden with a beautiful view, quite warm pool area. Standard European breakfast, sufficient choice of food. The city is quiet, there is a large park, a good place to relax with children or retirees. Great restaurant 10 min on foot from the hotel.
The hotel is just a little bit out of the main part of town, and surrounded by hills and trees. The buildings are lovely, and the pool and sauna facilities are excellent. The room has nice furniture and is comfortable. It feels more like a spa stay then your typical hotel.
Breakfast was very good, large variety of food, coffees and teas. In the hotel there were a lot of water colour paintings - in my room and in the corridors. The staff was very friendly and helped to solve my problem (not related to hotel work).
We had a great stay at this wonderful Hotel. Staff is very polite, they made us feel like at home. Food was great, hotel interior is like made for us, all the antiquities takes us back through time. Really impressive.
Lovely breakfast in the café. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It's in the centre of Bad Gleichenberg and close to the spa. The room was very spacious with a little balcony.
