Good location. It's quiet enough, has a great view to the mountains. Very close to the lake (one can ride a bike to and from easily).
Breakfast was just the very basic. There's some room for improvement there.
Dinner was great. Very tasty food.
The pool and playground are way above average. Kids absolutely loved them.
We borrowed bikes from the hotel. They're standard city bikes, but they're pretty new and in good condition.

We did enjoy the view from the room, the hikes in the area and the pool. Unfortunately, our positive experience was overshadowed by the rude staff and loud party music.

The village is lovely and quiet.
The village is lovely and quiet. The view on the lake and the moutains is fantastic. There are possibilities to eat out, have a nice treat in front of the lake, and to rent equipment such as bikes (all year) or ski/snowshoe (during the high season in winter).
There is a great amount of walking/biking pathways starting from Walchsee all around the lake, with good signposting, that takes you to summits, some even accessible in March depending on the snow. With this unfortunate climate change, it was really accessible on foot in mid-March already just with hiking shoes and sometimes small crampons/microspikes.
Walchsee is only an hour drive fron Kitzbuhel and Ellmau, where you can still ski/snowshoe at this time of year. Walchsee is also at an hour drive from Salzburg and Innsbruck if you want to enjoy the charm of small cities with a tyrolean style.
So you will have a peaceful stay in this lovely village, while being able to kick things up on foot, with a car or with the bus using the Kaiserwinkl pass!

We love the wooden house with a nice balcony and the cleanliness, the beautiful Mountain View and the free space around the house! Our favourite moment have been the breakfast time with the view to the mountain as well. What we don’t like the most is that we did not travel with the car this time it was a bit difficult to get around!

Great little town with a lovely lake, really nice to swim in the lake, or Nice to walk round, takes about an hour to walk round or 15 mins to cycle.
The town is mostly cash only which can be a little frustrating.

Amazing place!
Amazing place! amazing view, very clean lake and perfect for families! It has so many activities to offer: Cycling, hiking, ski, water ski, golf, mini golf, horse riding, water parks, swimming, fishing, rafting and much more that i dont remember...
i really recommend to go fishing with a family where you do not need a fishing license and is not so far from walchsee lake, its 13km from there after Kosing ..its called quellefisching. Amazing place where you can fish and even the kids and what you catch you an either ask the restaurant of the place to prepare it and eat it or you can take it home.
We had a nice stay in the Chalet. Check-in and out was via key box. The chalet was clean and cozy. It had an air-conditioner which was great. The kitchen contained the most necessary things, but don't expect to find special utensils. The bath tub was a great extra. The bed was comfortable and located on the gallery upstairs. The wooden interior design was very unique. The landscape around Walchsee is beautiful. Good food and some activities in the area.
Apartment was very clean and well stocked with various kitchen supplies, board games, and info about Walchsee and the surrounding area. It has everything you need for a short stay or even a few weeks! We stayed here for 6 days and it was the perfect location outside of town, just a short walk from the center of Walchsee. Nearby to tons of hiking trails, a supermarket, and skiing if you are here in the winter. Would definitely stay here again!
Fantastic place to stay. The apartment, the building, everything was high standard. Everyone was very welcoming. Walchsee is also lovely, quiet, and with plenty of walking/hiking/biking paths accessible and safe, even in March. It is great for those who are not so keen on skiing 😁.
Cozy appartment in the centre of Walchsee with all the facilities nearby. The apartment is spacy with all the equipment you need for a short- or long-term stay. Despite the "contactless accomodation", in case of any need the operators gave us all the necessarry information on-line.
10/10 would definitely recommend this apartment, very well equipped, modern design look, clean. Amazing spacious terrace. Good fit for smaller family. Perfect location with store just one level below, few mins to the lake. In case we go to Walchsee, we know where to 🙂
Great staff, amazing breakfast, for the price of the stay it was all that we could have asked for. Rooms were basic but very clean. Large room with a bath.
Very traditional Austrian hotel.
Everything. One couldn't ask for a better hotel. It's been a few days since we checked out - and it remains to be one of the best hotels I have had the privilege to experience.
Super friendly owners helping out wherever they can. Clean rooms with quite an impressive view on the mountains on all sides. Close to the beautiful Walchsee.
