I was pleased not to be driving a car around Sydney and suburbs. Even as a passenger it seemed confusing and scary.
I enjoyed the nightlife buzz where restaurants/ wine bars on Friday and Saturday nights were popular and seemed joyful.

A marvelous city!
A marvelous city! The weather was perfect, probably above average for an autumn, but it made the impression of the city even better. The beaches are absolutely fantastic! We loved the ferry transportation and double-decker trains. Opera House is even more breathtaking than we thought it would be.

Sydney Mater Hospital. The Harbourview was a most convenient place to stay with the train station situated very close to the hotel.
On our many previous visits the Harbourview was an ideal location to stay to visit all the beautiful places in Sydney.

We live 2 hrs train ride from Sydney so visit a couple of times a year. It is always a fun weekend. The harbour of course is spectacular. We always go to the theatre to see a play or a musical, there are several venues, all amazing but the Opera house is special. Shopping is amazing, a roam around the historic Rocks area, botanical Gardens, darling harbour recommended. The Art gallery is excellent along with the museum next door. Catch a ferry anywhere. Eat at China Town. Then catch a train down to the south coast to explore NSWs spectacular beaches or a bus to the Blue Mountains.
LOCATION. The Rydges Sydney Harbour is located in a heritage like area so do not expect it to be all glass and shiny. Its quite rustic and gives chill vibes away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney CBD which is a fifteen minute walk. You can see the harbour bridge outside your window if you get a good view, it’s a 2-3 minute walk to a cafe/restaurant and luxury brand shopping (Sydney galleria DFS) and 5 minute walk to the circular quay station. Take train from international airport to circular quay ($18.31-$19). 100% would stay again.
Very good value for the money and in an excellent location to explore the city. Its a short walk from the Central train station, which itself is a straight shot from the airport. Restaurants and shops are an easy walk from the front door of the hotel, both in Surry Hills and Haymarket, and the slightly more athletic (the hotel is at the bottom of a hill!) can walk to Oxford St., Darlinghurst, the CBD and the Sydney Cricket Grounds. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
This was our second stay at the Moxy, this time prior to an early flight the next day. We think this is the best of all of the airport hotels, and certainly nowhere near the most expensive. It's got great public spaces, a really pleasant bar and the food at the restaurant is good pub/bistro quality - just what you need for a pleasant evening before a flight the next day. We'll probably stay at the Moxy quite regularly - it's fantastic value for money.
The hotel is located close to the airport and easily accessible with the local bus (either to the airport or to a train station that connected to the city center). The staff was friendly and while I was not able to check in early, the hotel has lockers to put bags securely away. The room was clean and spacious - definitely fit my needs. If coming back to Sydney, I'd stay there again.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The roof top bar and office area is fantastic - free coffee and water all day long, a beautiful place to hang out and start or end your day in Sydney.
The room itself is beautifully designed and the bed was amazing. When we got there, cleanliness of the room was fine.
Stayed there years ago when it was the Westin, it was one of our favourite places we had stayed. New ownership after Covid, good to see they haven’t changed anything. The clock tower and old post office building is one of the most beautiful backdrops for a hotel in the middle of CBD. 10/10 for everything.
Location is in the centre of the Rocks, Sydney Harbour. Walking distance to many restaurants, hotels & bars. 24 hour Car Parking is easily accessible to the Hotel. Spacious rooms and the kitchenettes are very convenient for a place to stay longer. Our balcony was large with a nice view of the bridge.
Honestly one of the nicest Sydney hotels I’ve stayed in! The room was very spacious, and incredibly clean. It was also handy having a fully equipped kitchen. The location is fantastic - really close to the airport and there are nearby eateries and a grocery store.
Beautiful rooms in a beautiful old building. Everything was so clean. The beds were super comfortable. A massive bathroom is always nice. Parking on site is a nice rarity when it comes to CBD-located hotels. Room service meals were a tasty treat.
Close proximity to ICC & Darling Harbour restaurants was a plus and 20 minute walk to shopping in the city precinct also a bonus. Access to the light rail made getting to & from the hotel to the airport convenient especially with tap & go.
Big shout out to Edel and the other staff at Rydges Sydney Airport. Very helpful. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we were offered a larger room. Great customer service. Rooms are quiet even though the hotel was quite busy.
The best thing about this accommodation is its location - about 200 metres from Town Hall. Wifi is pretty good, pods are okay, value for money is very good given how insanely overpriced hotels in the CBD area are.
Beautiful hotel very luxurious, amazing harbour views. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have ever been to. I have stayed at many hotels in Sydney CBD this is top 1 or 2 overall we will stay again.
Larger room and greater comfort than comparable hotels. 50th birthday note and gift from hotel was a nice touch. Location in Haymarket provides easy access to restaurants, Capitol Threate, light rail and CBD.
The hotel was great and the location was perfect. Very close to the train and walking distance to CBD shopping, circular Quay and darling harbour. I felt very safe staying there with my teenage daughter.
The location was terrific. The hotel was a short walk to the Mascot Station and was near a grocery store and some great restaurants. It was easy to get to Sydney CBD and tourist sites.
Very convenient location for work (at UTS) and a great price compared to central/CBD Sydney hotels closer to the harbour. Room was very clean, comfortable and quiet (on 8th floor).
