The hotel itself is an artistic jewel and a place of beauty. A true art museum. The walls are covered in art work. I love art and I literally spent an hour "touring" the hotel to admire it all. This is a historic building, it's construction and story tied in with the towns early history are documented in fotographs. For those who care less about high-brow art there are lovely antiques scattered around the place.
And if this wasn't enough, half the rooms look out towards the lake and volcano Osorno. Osorno is the most beautiful volcano in the world, even more beautiful than Fuji. To see it at sunset as you walk up the majestic wood paneled staircase to your room is something to remember.
The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant, high on a hill, but right across the street is a very nice little restaurant with friendly staff and great menu!

It was a nice hotel with a great breakfast room with a view. However, the place was a little bit run down. The bed was comfortable and, while it wasn’t dirty, it wasn’t spic’n’span. The towels were shabby but the food was good. The location was good for walking or calling an inexpensive Uber. There were restaurants nearby and day tours would come to the hotel to pick you up. The price with breakfast was less than $100 a day so that was a good value for a place close to the lake in the summer. There was a nice outdoor deck and internet.

A very jolly town, clearly doing quite well. All the locals we spoke to were friendly and helpful, particularly the tourist Info in centre of town.
We rented a car for a couple of days from Morris at Sur Car Rental, hilarious and good value.
Mi gusto Puerto Varas!

Went mid October and weather can be a factor. Wanted to get a tour of volcano and park rangers closed the road due to deep snow. Rest of town was nice to walk and stroll around. People were very friendly and helpful.

Very beautiful city and surroundings.
Very beautiful city and surroundings. There are a lot of places and natural wonders to visit, any tourist would be impressed. Puerto Varas has a rich history which would amaze any curious mind. I arrived by bus since there are no flights between intermediate cities in Chile and it was very disappointing to find out that there is no proper bus terminal. My bus arrived at 5 am and we had to sit in the floor until a taxi appeared and he took us to the only 24h store in the city, which would only sell through a small window. We had to sit down again on the floor until the sun came out.

Most beautiful city of Chile so far!
Most beautiful city of Chile so far! Convenient transport from the Airport, very beautiful lake view of the volcano, felt safe. Much better place to stay than Puerto Montt, if you are deciding between those two.

This is a gorgeous city, surrounded by so many things to do.
This is a gorgeous city, surrounded by so many things to do. You can go ski to the Osorno Volcano and spend a full day there. Saltos del Petrohue are so beautiful that you can stay half day there. And going south to Chiloé is something you need to do.
The cabins are quite rustic but very comfortable. Heat is provided by a pellet stove, one that is easy to use and which heats the cabin quickly. There are only four cabins on a large property overlooking the lake and the volcano Osorno. The property is a five minute drive (when there is little traffic) from Puerto Varas, so restaurants and shops are easy to access. The location is quiet and peaceful, and would be good for families with one or two children. The host, Javiera, is exceptional; extremely responsive and helpful.
This is the second time in a few months we stay at Casa Molino, so we can say for sure we are in love with the place. The tranquility and the vistas are superb. The direct access to the lake is a bit tricky but appreciated altogether, especially this time of year when the water is not *that* cold. The staff is all too kind and attentive, especially Alfredo. The facilities are well-kept and clean. Finally, the hotel pets, Milka and Eros, are just the cherry on top making the whole experience worth the cost.
The location is perfect, a 20 minute walk to town, far enough to feel in nature. The views are beautiful. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious as well as Dinner.
But most importantly the staff is absolutely amazing they go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome and at home.
From the women in charge of breakfast in the morning, Esteban at dinner time to the manager Felipe they were so wonderful and helpful.
I will 100000% stay there when I go back to Puerto Varas!
Nice sized room with very comfortable bed and quiet A/C unit. Common space in the building for sitting around as well as access to shared kitchen. Very nice building with helpful staff and owner. Really appreciated the owner finding out some airport information for us when we left. Easy access with keypad entry. Short walk to the centre of Puerto Varas in a quiet area.
Staff very nice. Good facilities for cooking. Vibe of travellers was nice. The mini-caravan we stayed in was comfortable and good value for a last minute booking. Nice space for people to camp too. Good collection of guidebooks for Chile / Argentina / South America in a variety of languages. Quiet at night - not a party hostel.
Would recommend if you like hostel vibes.
The beautiful hardwood floors and the breakfast was delicious each morning. The elegant presentation of the house, room, and breakfast was impeccable. The host was beyond gracious and went above and beyond in helping us making our stay in Puerto Varas memorable. She provided hiking recommendations and answered our questions as best as she could.
We were a group of 3 friends and they offered a room with 3 twin beds, which was perfect. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and breakfast was very good. We slept with the window open in February and noticed lots of dogs barking, but no other noises. Would have liked to stay another day in Puerto Varas.
Amazing location and view from the property was amazing. Breakfast variety was amazing and along with proper care by staff. Rooms are quite big with amazing free facility like pool and sauna access.
Must stay place when visiting Puerto Varas…
This was our second time staying here. It is an amazing old home renovated into hotel rooms. Special touches everywhere. Breakfast is fantastic. Staff is so accommodating.
I just love this place !
Very good breakfast in a beautiful breakfast room. Comfortable & clean rooms. Very nice and helpful owner & staff. Great location in a quiet neighborhood close to lake and center of Puerto Varas.
This place was excellent, I’m so glad I found it. It was cosy and the host, Rodolfo was very attentive and kind.
The room was very good and breakfast was typical Chilean fare
Very welcoming hotel. The hot tub was a great surprise. There was plenty of food at breakfast and the common areas were very homely. The view of Puerto Varas has excellent
The hotel is conveniently located, close to downtown but far away from the excess traffic and noise. The hotel provides free parking in a safe location.
