Lovely older hotel ,excellent choice of food ,well presented and staff constantly checking the temperature of the food available , pleasant and always smiling happy staff . Very welcoming hotel ,Guest services lady makes a point of speaking with every guest to ask if your room is clean and that you are receiving good service etc and if you have any problems she is there to speak to and will sort out any issue you may have ,gardens spotless as is the hotels inside areas , staff quickly pick up any litter and remove any stray glasses from pool areas ,beach also spotless clean , we have stayed at The Old Palace several times and usually end up adding more nights as we dont want to leave , its an excellent value for money hotel and does not really cater to families with children which is why we choose The Old Palace its a quieter more peaceful hotel ,no loud music except at entertainment time ,very relaxing older style hotel more suited to middle aged couples and elderly clients which makes it the perfect place for us .

An excellent all-inclusive option - loads to do for the kids, wonderful friendly staff and excellent quality food. The whole resort - bedrooms, swimming pool areas, common spaces including the toilets - was exceptionally clean throughout our stay. Overall very impressed.

I don't normally leave reviews but i feel compelled to do so this time as we had the best time ever at this hotel, it was way over our expectations. Very clean and spotless everywhere, the food was absolutely amazing, plenty of excellent to choose from, and very elegant and classy presentation. The staff are very professional and friendly, I would like to highlight Mr Khaled who was very pleasant and nice to us. He made our check-in process the best ever. Highly recommended.

The reort was very well planned and had all the facilities you could thik of, with no need to step outside. They even had small kiosks and shops to buy clothes and souvenirs. We've stayed at lots of resorts and lots of all-inclusive ones, and by far, this was the best of them all. The staff were exceptional! Each and every one of them went out of their way to make us feel completely pampered. The food quality and variety was excellent. We had the option of going to the a la carte restaurants for dinner, but the food at the buffet restaurant was so good, we never ventured out. My husband and kids also visited the waterpark and came back very impressed. There were lots of slides and rides, but they were most impreseed by how clean everything was and how well maintained. Have recommended the resort to all our friends and will definitely go back. This time for longer!

I was given the same room as one year ago, and things slightly improved, but this old and tired resort has a long way to go to match competitors such as the Wadi Lahmy Resort much further south. Food is a hit and miss, but the Oriental Evening the hotel had organised was splendid - any efforts they make goes quiet a stretch. It seems the cost is due to Makadi being regarded as a posh location but most guests would probably come because of the convenience.
