Loved our balcony. Amazing views of the ocean! Also liked that the room had a kitchen area and bathroom was nice. It was definitely worth the last minute upgrade. The lady Virginia who checked us in was so nice too.

This Parador is exceptional! Situated high above the Mediterranean, we never tired of the views up and down the lovely coast. All the staff were so friendly and amenable. The property is located on the cliff with stunning views of the valley, the bridge, and the waterfalls. We had a gorgeous, private patio, an extremely large room - it was like we were alone on the cliff top.

Really nice quality holiday hotel right on the beach.
Facing the beachfront, Hotel Bajamar Ancladero Playa offers 2-star accommodations in Nerja and has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden and terrace.
Clean and simple with all the facilities we needed.
On average, 3-star hotels in Nerja cost $104 per night, and 4-star hotels in Nerja are $157 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Nerja can be found for $104 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
The whitewashed houses perched on rocky cliffs and backed by the Sierra de Burno mountains make Nerja a picture perfect setting. If you're not in a boat, the second best place to admire Nerja is the so-called Balcony of Europe, a viewing platform overlooking the rugged coastline and turquoise waters.
Below the platform is a panoramic restaurant, and there are more restaurants and shops in the narrow town center streets, as you would expect of a Costa del Sol resort. However, Nerja’s distinct character differentiates it from the high-rise resorts. Its relaxed feel and Blue Flag beaches attract families, and there are good diving spots off neighboring Maro.
The town is spread over hills, and below one just outside town the Nerja Caves stretch for over 3 miles. Concerts are held in one cavernous chamber.
A 19th-century, multilevel aqueduct spans a gorge to the east, while to the west the Rio Chillar cuts through rocks to form a waterfall. The nearby donkey sanctuary also houses the occasional other farmyard animal. Dating back to the 17th century is the Hermitage of Las Angustias, and El Salvador Church is on a square looking out to sea.
Booking.com’s Nerja accommodations includes luxury beach hotels, guesthouses with pools, and cheap apartments with parking – particularly handy if you arrive by car from Málaga Airport.

The views from the Balcon de Nerja were lovely, and the town, though obviously now very much a tourist spot, has an interesting history which you can discover by visiting the excellent local museum. Although I didn't explore them, the beaches looked very inviting. But the visit to the Cuevas de Nerja was the highlight of my stay - they are breathtaking! I have visited a number of caves, but Nerja's are like a cathedral compared to a parish church, and the prehistoric finds discovered there can be seen in the museum (the ticket for the "train" to the caves is not cheap, but includes entry to the museum, though I had to ask for a retired person's discount (2 euros) even though I have white hair.)

Nerja for us is a great stop after touring some of the larger cities and spending lots of time visiting historical and cultural sights. Nerja is meant for relaxing, hitting the beach, and eating a variety of food. Compared to other "resort" type towns along the coast, parts of the town retain a local feel, with a tourist district near the shore. Visitors are pretty diverse, but tend to skew middle age to older, no real party or club scene in Nerja, which is great for some, not for others. Usual array of restaurants, from traditional Spanish meat and seafood places, to pretty top rate Italian places, and reputable Indian/South Asian places, and a variety of others.

Beautiful town with all the restaurants, cafes and bar’s you could need. Good transport links which allows access to other areas of interest. Frigilliana was a 20 minute bus trip away, which only cost €1.20 each way, which I would highly recommend.

Nerja was a good place to start our stay in Costa del Sol.
Nerja was a good place to start our stay in Costa del Sol. We visited the old city and it was very nice. The highlights of the stay were the Nerja caves and a trip to Frigiliana. Use the public parkings as street parking is very limited.

So beautiful place sorunded by mountains and sea view.
So beautiful place sorunded by mountains and sea view. Waking up with sunrise between Nerja mountains is just spectacular. Nerja offers great beaches- quite and wild and also famous louder playa burriana with good restaurants/shops and bars. For those who love hiking Nerja is just perfect! Must see Frigiliana- so romantic mountain village! For me Nerja is a mixture of amazing nature, intense colors, great food, very kind and helpful people, extraordinary landscape ( try kayak trip!), beautiful architecture and Old Town with very good shops and galleries. I recommend to come during April and September/October- not so many tourists and nice temperatures plus easier to talk with local people. Very good access by public transport- bus from Malaga ( 1.20h) only 5€. Hasta pronto Nerja!

Nerja is a very safe friendly town.
Nerja is a very safe friendly town. Great variety of restaurants / bars very good vale. The caves are best I have ever visited well worth the trip. Nerja market on a Tue is fantastic. Local crafts for sale including wood carvings/ ceramics/ leather products as well as fruit and veg. Fabulous strawberries.
We had a really great stay. The location could not be better. We were a short walk to all the town had to offer as well as all of the beaches, including one that was 5 mins away, if you were walking slow. The garden was stunning, full of beautiful plants and fragrant flowers and the pool was the best we had in our 2 weeks in Spain. The apartment was spacious and it was great to have room to spread out after being in small hotel rooms for a week. We would definitely come back here if we visit Nerja again.
Very clean and comfortable room, excellent wifi and good location. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Excellent food with good choices for breakfast and in both in the bar and restaurant and good value. Although the hotel is a bit away from the beach (Burriana Beach is closest) and the main centre of Nerja, it was an easy walk to both. Lovely mountain views from our room. Excellent value for money.
Beautiful room in a fabulous location on the Balcone de Europe in Nerja. Best location with gorgeous views. We spent 1 great afternoon and evening exploring. The staff were lovely. We didnot eat in the restaurant so cannot comment. The parking was very close by underground public parking I we paid about £23 for parking. Would recommend this hotel.
Always had bit of a sniffy attitude about spain... a friend of mine said "you havent given it a chance" he was right.
Hostal Alhambra changed all that!!
What a place Nerja is, the people that live in Nerja are so friendly, warm and welcoming...
Needless to say, I/we will return!!
Best of wishes,

Lovely hotel in a great location in the centre of Nerja. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is exceptionally clean. Check in was so simple and efficient. They ordered a taxi for our return trip to airport which arrived spot on time. This was our second time to stay at this hotel.
I think the best hotel I've stayed at during the 2 week visit to Andalucia. Loved the decor, really cool with the moss. Rooms were simple but to be honest what you expect for the money. The breakfast is only 5 euros but the value you get for it is really good, easily worth it.
This hotel was the best I've stayed in nerja ,staff were very helpful and the location was the best ,it was my partner birthday while we was away and having been out for the day ,we came back to a bottle of fizz in our room with 2 glasses which was very much appreciated
Beautiful Hotel, amazing location, Quite but in the centre of everything. Hotel room was spacious and the bed and pillows were very comfortable, the best we have experienced in a hotel in Spain.
Breakfast was included and it was great, good options available.
Lovely boutique hotel in the centre of Nerja. We booked the room with the outdoor bath that was great - it took ages to fill is the only thing! Nice breakfast & friendly staff too.
Parking available at the rear for €10 hotel rate.
This is a wonderful hotel in the heart of the old town of Nerja so the location is perfect! the rooms are clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable beds and pillows. Great staff who are very helpful and attentive.
Lovely hotel in a great location in the centre of Nerja. The staff were very helpful and friendly especially Elena at reception. We had a lovely time here and would definitely stay again.
The views were spectacular and the location to the action in town was perfect - a short, pleasant walk, but could “escape” back to the peacefulness of Parador de Nerja when wanted.
I have stayed in many pensions in Nerja but this is my favourite the location to the main bus stops are 5 mins walk the location is excellent for the best restaurants and shops.
Best location ever. It takes me 2 trains, a plane and two buses to get to nerja. The one minute walk to the hotel after the last bus journey is welcomed.
