For those who love HISTORY , good food and fabulous wines,...
For those who love HISTORY , good food and fabulous wines, Bourgogne is the place to visit , and Beaune is the largest city in the area.
To make burgundy wine, you need special soils , and exposition to the sun at certain moments of the day.
That part of France had différent owners, at the time of CHARLES QUINT ( the fifth) was built "Les Hospices de Beaune".
Now it belongs to France, since a few centuries.
At that time, and it is partly true to-day, Churches, Monasteries ,were protecting people in case of war or illness ,and were the only school, as well .
With their magnificent coloured tiled roofs, their architecture, their furniture, their Museum, Les Hospices de Beaune are UNIQUE in the world !

Interesting walled town with cobbled streets and old buildings worth a look, particularly the iconic hospices de Beaune with its unusual roof tiles. A decent selection of bars and restaurants around and off the main square. Town easily accessible from the autoroute.

This is a Beautiful place!!
This is a Beautiful place!! And if you stay within the Ring road, everything is mere minutes walking distance. If you are a wine lover at all, this NEEDS to be on your bucket list!
A couple of things to be aware of: Accommodations vary Wildly in price and comfort, so shop around! Eating out in Beaune is extremely expensive, so if you are on a budget, a place with your own kitchen can be a great choice. Check out the local operating hours...they run differently than just about anywhere else I have been! And come prepared to walk...public transport here is not as readily available as other places in France!

Great town for a break from the bigger cities.
Great town for a break from the bigger cities. Plenty of history and intersting things to do and see. The old walled part of the town was fascinating with plenty of excellent restauruants and bars as well as places of interest. We walked the wall and it was a great way to get a perspecitve on the old town.

Been to Beaune many times over the years.
Been to Beaune many times over the years. It has become more commercial but that seems to be the norm for Burgundy area.
Our complaint is the reviews for the property we intended to rent, according to Booking.com La petite cour is listed as Fabulous. We are worldwide travelers and know about accommodations. You have it rated as 9.7. I would give it a 1.
Excellent small hotel in Beaune, great location, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and spacious room (number11). The host was very welcoming, sorted out parking for us and was very efficient in sorting check-in and check-out. We stopped overnight while making our way down to the South of France and it was perfect for that and we enjoyed a lovely fresh breakfast, with excellent service, before hitting the road. What we saw of Beaune was beautiful, certainly worth revisiting and a longer stay to properly explore.
The overall stay was enjoyable. Modern bathrooms, friendly reception. Swimming pool, bar restaurant. Overall, good value. Rooms are quite small and parking was nonexistent at the hotel. There seems to be a gated car park, but it needs a code. Managed to find parking at the residence area, which worked out fine. The air conditioner was locked at 19° and seems it's on a timer and reverts back to 26°. I opened the window but it was in the street and noisy so had to close it.
I usually stop in this hotel when i travel to the South of France. Just a few miles of the motorway with secure parking always available. A nice ten munute walk to the centre of Beaune where i enjoy my favourite andoulleite. The rooms are spacious , very clean and comfortable and the outdoor pool is great. On this occasion, i was welcomed by a friendly and professional young man called Louis. perfect night stop but unfortunately I have to return to the UK..
Great location near the highway and the center of Beaune. Very quiet, comfortable rooms with nice decor. Fantastic breakfast on a nice, shaded patio. Hotel accepts dogs, which is the reason why we stayed there. Also, just a bit more expensive than a hotel nearby that we stayed in on our way to the south of France, but miles better and more comfortable 😀.
Location was perfect for one night rest on our way to south France. It was not very quiet, in the morning one could hear the cars driving by pretty good but we were awake anyway early enough so it was no problem. Very friendly stuff, nice dinner options, fresh from the Grill on the terrace. Breakfast fine, with fresh pressed Orange juice.
This is our 4th trip over the past 20 years, we extended our stay from 3 to 4 days. We brought our son and his wife they loved it and plan to return. This is the perfect Hotel for the experience of Burgundy shopping in the old town of Beaune for Americans. The staff bent over backwards to be accommodating especially Rabab Allaf at the front desk.
The location was amazing. Right around the corner of the main square with the terraces. The hotel is quiet and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Too bad we were only there for 1 night on our way to the South of France. Parking was cheap in front of the hotel on the street.
Perfect, simple hotel, no frills but perfect for a cheap, quick functional stop over on our way driving down to the south of France. Secure car park so no need to remove everything from the car. Incredibly nice, welcoming staff. Perfect location to check out the town.
Really good value for money in a great location for visiting Beaune, as well as the wealth of surrounding options by avoiding going in and out of the busy center. A budget-friendly accommodation, with basic but comfortable rooms, and free parking.
Modern, clean & colourful, a fantastic place for an overnight stop coming home from the south of France. Walkable into Beaune and plenty of restaurants nearby. Kids loved the bunk beds and colourful rooms (we were in a family room)
This was a comfortable home. Our room was spotless and the largest of our entire 21 days in France. Our host Nadine was wonderful and gracious. She was full of good information about the area and restaurants.
it’s a brand new place in a recently remodeled building. Clean! The property is conveniently located especially if you travel by car. It’s close to Beaune train station as well. The host was great!
It was a fabulous location in the heart of Beaune. Very convenient to restaurants, Pâtisseries, coffee, the open air market and the key historical destinations like the Hotel Dieu.
A charming boutique hôtel magnifically run by Vanessa and Thomas, a very nice couple of experienced international hotel managers. We will be back in November for the Vente de Vins.
Good location if you got a car, very close to Beaune and proximity to tollway. Room is relatively new and you are getting what you expect out of a chain hotel.
Cheap stopover hotel on way back from south of France. very clean room a good breakfast and very pleasant reception staff. Close to several restaurants
