The owner was able to arrange the room earlier, so we could drop our luggage and visit the city center. Excellent communication with the owner, excellent location if you have an early flight

Just needed to stay the one night to be at the airport for early flight.
Warm and sunny so sat outside the evening before at the sister Hotel Ibis pool and enjoyed a lovely dinner there too.
No restaurant/pool at the Ibis Budget but this sister hotel is just next door.
Rooms basic, clean and comfortable and staff were fun and friendly.
Ideal for early am flight. Would definitely recommend for this purpose.

Small town with nothing.
Small town with nothing. In the city center, we ended up in an area where Arab men sat in every cafe and drank coffee in the middle of the working day. We did not see women in this area. It was very disturbing.

Good value, restaurant and bar.
Good value, restaurant and bar. About a 15 minute walk to airport; important for very early flights. Nice helpful staff . A friend of ours went to check in next door at the blue IBIS, cancelled and walked over here and was pleased for a little more money. I did not explore the area or use the pool as I had an early morning flight.

Marignane is the armpit of Marseille.
Marignane is the armpit of Marseille. It is jammed between the airport and the brackish pond. Mosquitoes as big as wasps. Other biting bugs. But lots of marsh wildlife. Peaceful near the pond. Marignane has everything you need. Very industrial. Unlike Auvergne and France away from the coast. The Marseilleise drive like maniacs: always in a hurry, too fast, tailgating, and it takes a lot of getting used to the road signage. Good luck if you plan to drive into the city of Marseille! Better park outside and take the subway in.
It is a very pleasant hotel. It is very very quiet with carpets on the corridors and parquet (or imitation probably) in the rooms which is precisely as it should be. The staff are surprisingly nice and friendly. Of course, this is a place to stay when you travel the next day, this is not a good base for a city trip to Marseille which is relatively far and around the hotel there is nothing - other than the airport. The food is also good and so is the breakfast which starts very early so they think of you as a traveller.
I booked for a one night stay to be close to the airport and wish I could have stayed longer. The room I was in was very nicely decorated and the breakfast in the morning was exceptional, real French style with fresh breads, yoghurts, butter etc. A welcome change from many hotel breakfasts nowadays. Unfortunately I was unable to operate the coffee machine-probably my fault! -so had to make do with a hot chocolate instead.
Random location. Claimed to have a shuttle to the hotel from the airport but didn't. Shuttle dropped me off at the wrong ibis and had to get a taxi for €30 to the right place. Nothing really wrong with the hotel itself but cannot recommend staying there and would not stay there again myself. The staff were great and the hotel was very clean, breakfast was good too.
Excellent stay. Good location if you need to be close to the airport or the airport train station. Shuttle both ways was prompt and no fee. They have an excellent restaurant on site with many choices of dinners. We were offered a breakfast in the morning which was sufficient. The hotel is clean and friendly. The cost us a good value.
It is a budget hotel, and, indeed, it looks and feels budget. The best thing was the breakfast, which was pretty good in comparison with the category and I have to praise the front desk who immediately answered my question via booking.com. I also have to praise the shuttle driver who was kind and helpful.
There was no shuttle as promised, even though at the airport was a shuttle contact. We had to walk 15 min. through a parking lot and round about to get to the hotel. If we had been on a long international flight this would have been nightmarish. I will not book that Ibis again, maybe no Ibis again ever.
Front desk staff very accommodating and hotel really close to our terminal. A good distraction to spend late afternoon around the pool. Good black out room curtains !
Also the gentleman in charge at the dining room was very attentive and checked in on us to make sure our dinner was good!
The host was great received us despite the changes in our schedule.
The place is very clean, many commodities available.
Comfortable bed.
Excellent Air conditioner.
Cute terrace with a small table and chairs to chill out.
Location is 5 minutes drive to the Marseille airport.
The owner was very kind and accommodating since our flight was delayed and we arrived late. Lovely place. We found it with GPS OK. She let us leave our bags while we went into Marseille for a tour, which was nice. Enjoyed the breakfast, self-serve, but all you could want.
The hotel despite being in the airport area was well laid out, with very pleasant outside terraces area. The room was spatious and comfortable. The staff were efficient and caring.
The shuttle service was punctual and fast, despite being very early in the morning.
Hotel crew -friendly French people and some of them even English speaking (what a surprise ).Nothing special -they simply did they work .And thats good enough >8 euro breakfast -for this price in France in season You dont get that much
Honestly, I'm always having a good time staying there for early flights at Marseille Airport. It does the job it does at the right pricepoint, the staff is always super pleasant, and the restaurant a nice bonus!
General condition of apartment - any signs of long usage term, location is great - literally two steps from center of Marignane, everything was clean. Cozy table with two chairs on the entrance in apartment.
