Rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast good, on site parking. Evening meals - not a bad selection.

We only stayed one night, and that was to long enough , a little out of the way , but the GPS got there. However, it would have done us a favour if it had not. As the hotel may be okay for illegal immigrants. I have no issue with Alfreton, or wonderful county of Derbyshire, just the rubbish chain of Hotels.

The place I stayed is in the village of Wessington and it is quieter than Alfreton itself.
Alfreton had a good charger for my electric car at a KFC but nearby there were other retail outlets and eateries.
I was mainly there to visit the National Tramway Museum at Crich which is not far from Wessington. There are also good places to walk.
I ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and had soup and a roll and also morning coffee at the museum.

The only thing we didn't like about our stay is booking.coms site stayed it was a lot closer to where we were spending time with new family at their home. We wanted to be closer so we could all let our hair down . And at the property our room was just off the foyer and the alarm intermittently bleeped the whole time.

The centre of Alfreton is easy to get to with plenty of parking nearby for you to use or simply like most people park up in the big Tesco store rather than trying the 30 minute on street parking. The town has a range of stores and the usual charity shops in abundance. Banks are in good number as well as the ATM machines. It is clean and tidy, looks well cared for by the local council and is recommended for a visit.

The room and hotel were very clean. The staff were very helpful and polite. The food wasn't great and there was a lot of noise throughout the night.
I would recommend purely due to the cleanliness, the staff and the comfy bed, just don't expect to get a great night's sleep..

Good Place to visit , But be warned pub restaurants will not cook food after six o'clock pm sometimes earlier. Some pubs were actually closing at six pm. This is not just Alfreton this is mostly all the surrounding areas
that you may want to visit. Bakewell, Buxton, ect.
Amazing room, location, friendly lady at the desk who cooked amazing breakfast and gave us a very pleasant welcome. Had nice conversations with a few other people staying there and saw a few animals about. All in all was a great time and lovely place to stay.
Room was nicer than what I expected from the pictures, especially size wise. Had a lovely patio and the bathroom was perfectly clean and very nice to use.
Can't say a single negative thing. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.
The entire hotel is decorated to a very high standard with a sizeable outdoor area. The room we stayed in had an excellent shower and a very comfortable bed.
The staff are very welcoming, helpful and courteous. We ate breakfast and 2 evening meals all of which were very good indeed.
The hotel is reasonably well situated for visiting places such as Matlock and Bakewell.
Plenty of parking, easy to find, good location,
Exceptionally clean room and very comfortable. We were only staying overnight so was ideal for us. Restaurant with small bar on site.
This is a wedding venue hotel however there was no wedding on when we stayed so it was very quiet. I expect this would make the corridors a little noisy if a wedding was being held.
Super friendly reception. The room was very clean - home like - and a nice little play to stay for the single traveller. There was plenty of room to park and the farm is really easy to find. The area itself seemed really nice with the Peaks only a few miles away. Breakfast was super and delivered to the door exactly on time.
Comfortable room, friendly staff and good location to explore the Derbyshire Dales.
Dawn at reception was excellent and in fact if not for her our bookings would have been cancelled by booking.com due to some miscommunication. She took the trouble to call me to double check so thank you Dawn.
Stayed at the hotel on numerous occasions.Breakfast has always been lovely This time however. No choice of menu,no choice of eggs, Had to request tea EMPTY. Used to have teapot. Two slices of toast,No salt and pepper Everything seems to have been cut to a premier inn standard
Beautiful place. Excellent facilities and so clean. We were welcomed very warmly. It's a great base to see around Derbyshire. Food Excellent and plenty of it. There were some animals to see too from the farm. Would highly recommend it, and we would love to go back.
Brilliant as usual, spotlessly clean, modern room with good facilities. Friendly, warm welcome. Brilliant quiet location, walking distance to good local pub. Breakfast was delicious! This is our go to accommodation when visiting Derbyshire and the surrounding areas.
Clean comfortable up to date rooms with all the facilities you could ask for, good value and a lovely setting in Derbyshire, great food with plenty of variety in a fabulous restaurant, friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing the hotel was not contactable to arrange late check in. A lady in reservations sent a message after trying several times to contact. The hotel cancelled my booking without notifying. Still took £311.
This is a very unique hotel in a lovely location. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. The evening meal I had was lovely. My room was very comfortable and I had an excellent night's sleep.
Great value, low price I think possibly because the restaurant was being refurbished but still managed to serve a great dinner in a nice setting. Lovely trail for run/walk right behind the hotel.
Beautifully clean. Ideally located for a quick trip into Matlock & Bakewell. Internal decor was very tastefully done. Loved the basement restaurant area. Plenty of outdoor seating too.
