The food at the restaurant was phenomenal. The garden tour is a must do. The room was outstanding. The staff were amazing.

Good location; en-suite bathroom was very good and the room spacious. The breakfast was good but the cooked food lacked variety e.g. fried tomatoes and mushrooms, and the scrambled egg was over cooked.

Great place to stay for Abingdon. Have been several times. Rooms are slightly dated but everything works well and the food is great. Pub food, good beer and a cooked breakfast - what more do you want?

Booked three rooms which included breakfast.received an email prior to check in to say because I had booked through a third party breakfast wasn't included. phoned manger who confirmed we were booked for breakfast, but she was very uproot which set the tome for our visit. Bedding not clean in one room ( they changed it once it was highlighted).
Breakfast menu is very specific about choosing tea coffee OR orange juice ( which I felt was unusual, given that every other hotel I have stayed in offer orange juice as part of the breakfast). No cereal or fruit.Orders taken from menu which was well cooked and tasty but unusual not to have the option of cereal etc.
Dinner was very expensive and we didn't feel value for money.

Easy access to Oxford and National Trust properties from there. Also easy to visit Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons. Very pretty countryside around the pub - if we had time we would have explored walks.

I only stayed one night - but would definitely come again.
I only stayed one night - but would definitely come again. Lots of local walks to explore, the Aston Martin Museum nearby, close to Oxford, Uffington for the White Horse, an arboretum nearby too, so lots to see.
